SMILEYWell news just in..

Casting will be underway for a replacement for Katie Holmes who played Rachel Dawes. She has turned down the sequel and a $2 million dollar pay check to do a small indy for less then $300.00.

Personally I'm thrilled at this news. Katie holmes was the only weak link it a otherwise flawless cast. Cardboard acting didnt cut it for me. Also that character would serve no purpose in the next film anyway in my opinion, but if its recast who do you think should play her?

I suggest a unknown.

*Also

Batman: The Dark Knight started filming Janurary 13th 2007

Plot Summary

Batman and Gordon find alliance with a newly appointed DA Harvey Dent to stop a vicious killer with a warped sense of humor known only as The Joker, a threat to both the good, and the evil of Gotham City.

Sounds very exciting.

Thanks for the Memories MXO!

I heard a long time ago that Katie wasnt allowed to be in the next film becasue of all the horrible publicity her and Tom Cruise had last time around. But i only heard that, dont know for sure.

And heres some unsettleing news. I dont know if anyone has been cast yet but, apperntly Mr. Jamie Fox has been pursuing the role of Harvey Dent. Note: I didnt say WB has been considering him.

NO!   ABSOLUTLY NOT!       If they do this (I wouldnt but it past them to do it just to please the black audience) Then i wont go see it... yes i will, but i will be pissed.

I hope they base the script off of one of the batman graphic novels called Killing Joke. It revolves mostly around The Joker whom kills Gordan's wife,  driving Gordan insane afterward.

Jamie Foxx as the Harvey Dent just to please the black audience? I think not. I'm black and I disagree with him bieng two face so keep your stupid racial casting comments to yourself. I can't see there bieng a black two-face in my opinion.

omg  you need to get a grip and grow a pair, Nothing I said was a racist comment, and if you think movie studios dont pick certain races to play certain parts to bring in more of a crowd and make more money then your just an idiot. Its called marketing. Even politicians do the same tye of thing to get more votes. I can gaurantee if they had picked jamie foxx to be in the movie, there would be a SIZABLE diffrence in the amount of black poeple to see the movie, and this is becasue Foxx is a very popular actor within the black community. This doesnt mean all black poeple are alike. I never said "just becasue your black you like jamie foxx" So if you want to try and pull the racial card and start some s*** with me then I got some bad news for you. Not alot of poeple are gonna fall for that crap around here.

So I'll say again, get a grip, and keep your mouth shut about things you obviously dont have a clue about.

to be fair, I took "racial casting comments" as meaning simply making comments about the practice of "racial casting", rather than saying your comments were racist.

The Joker's piece de resistance, and the film's finale, seems to involve his threatening Gotham in a way that involves, possibly, the releasing to the air of his toxin.

...oh God, I hope not.

What is it with DC simply rehashing the same ending to all of their superhero films? Bad enough they redid Superman 2 and....

*spoilers*

tacked on the same stupid "turn back time" ending as the first one...

...but if the above is correct, this will be the THIRD batman film involving toxins / gas / whatever being released into the air, and the second one where Joker is responsible!

Bah.
