This piece was cut together from a couple different shots, and then finished up with liberal use of the Pen tool, which I find works incredibly well on computer game enhancements, since you're using vector-based images to begin with.

Very accomplished piece.  Always a fan of the darker enhancements.

I can't say I know the character EndlessVoid too well, but seeing things like this make me very interested in learning about him.

Very cool.

Very nice Void.. um.. vector graphics? Where?
#36300148737 01/24/2007 06:28:55 Re:Constructed

All in game images are Vector-based. Its like the style of imagery. If you zoom up close in photoshop, you'll see the image is made up of thousend's of small squares, basically.  - Godgiver

Void, I always enjoy seeing the kind of work you come up with, just out of curiosity though, what does that symbol stand for?

#36300148743 01/24/2007 06:41:29 Re:Constructed
Raster based images are those that, when you zoom up in Photoshop, you see that the picture is made up of all the "little squares" (pixels).

Vector based images are made with programs like Illustrator, and regardless of how much you'd zoom in to an image, it retains exactly the same picture quality and smooth edges, and there aren't any "pixels".  Likewise, in Illustrator, Vector images can be scaled as large as one would want, or even sized small-to-large multiple times, and it would retain the exact same detail as if it had been the original size.

... forgive the crappy explanation, I was never too good at that. SMILEY

(Grr for edits)  Anyway, great work on the image; it also adds a nice layer of character for those who may not know your/Void's backstory. It's good when people think dynamically, and make the pose/image that they have in mind, instead of only being limited by what the game, and emotes, can do. SMILEY

Man, you made the saturation of his clothes perfect. Excellent work on the hair as well. I also like the glow of the symbol and how it spreads on to areas of his coat.

While the game provides many great poses and moves throughout, sometime's you just have an idea for something that one picture simply can't capture. My last sig, with Steege flipping off the agent, was actually about 5 different screenshots pieced together. Although time consuming, the end result was worth it.

You did a really excellent job there Void. Seamless and fluid.

Although I have to ask... since when does Void need a gun? SMILEY
