I think that all Collector items should be unique.  The mere thought of the Troll's Hide being a simple green t-shirt makes my blood boil.

Even if the clothing is a unigue color, it would be sufficient enough of a change.

The matrix rare clothin g system is terrible, A lion skin wrap is a yellowish avero Trench coat, and so on, And what about that mask that riac has does anyone else have that, i know how she got it but is it still possible to do that?

This is definatly a good idea.  It would be a good way to introduce new looking clothing items and weapon models.  It'd be great for weapons like the Bedlams and Stinger to stand out as the top grade weapons they are.  There are certain clothing items as well that I know people would love such as the White Prophet Duster which I reckon would be a very fitting item for the Mother Coat (or whatever it's called), as well as taking it over to Pandora's box too.  I reckon the Seraphim Shoes would be a good place to introduce the Angel Agents white lucien dress shoes and the Tiger Master Gi would look cool as something similar to Seraph's Gi, (but maybe black with a tiger motiff on the back).

I could probably go on all day but I'll stop here.
