Made this topic for myself and all the other new players out there. I could use some tips, I have played 4 or 5 other MMORPGs but this one is well.... kinda weird. I mean nobody ever says anything, and its way to quite around.
Mara Central is a good place to look for help.
/who will tell you the names, load outs, and level of everyone in you current zone. If you see someone who is close to your level, send them a tell and ask if they want to team up. Be polite and at worst they will say no.
Joining a faction is ultimately the way to go, but it is worth teaming up with people a few times to see if you're really a good fit with them.
Anyway, the common thread here is that you have to make the first move. This game has been going for so long that everyone assumes that if you're alone, that's the way you want to be. People are actually very friendly and helpful in the game, but the default assumption is always going to be that you already have all the help and friends you need.
