I walk into a new year and briefly look back over the path I have followed. I can hear the whispers of my foot falls growing ever more distant as I travel the path that leads me to my future. Over a landscape left behind I see beauty and sadness but regret none of that which has pasted.
I walk into a future and I do not fear the unknown because when one is without fear they are truly free. I can hope my destination resembles something of my hopes and dreams but I do not fear that it may not.
Take heart one and all, proudly walk forward, though you may have trials and tribulations let no one say you are lesser for weathering all that comes before you instead of turning aside when it would have been easier.
Another chance to be the best person we all strive to be.
Looking back on the past year...I've seen much accomplishment from not only myself, but those around me. This community that we are all a part of and have helped form. And since we are now a tighter and more related group of players, I can't wait to see the things that 2007 sends our way -- and the ways we're going to deal with them. Stay strong, operatives, captains, and Commanders alike: The Matrix is ever-changing.

I had a good ringing in partying with a bunch of friends, then travelling to our city's landmark - the pagoda - with several bottles of sparkling cider and sparkling grape juice in the pouring rain to watch the fireworks. They went off and we huddled for warmth in the rain, drinking and clinking our bottles and shouting "HAPPY NEW YEAR" at the other 50-100 people there.
We probably looked drunk as hell.
May all of your '07s be good! A Ouija board told me I wouldn't be lonely this year, so that's a plus... I guess.
There may be a mirror to every perception, because I believe that fear brings motivation; without fear, we may never aspire to change our world. Therefore it is to be without fear which is the ideal. The memory of our actions provide the measurement for our beliefs and our hopes.
