Let me throw in my 2 cents.  A couple of these posters seem like just the typical everyday bitter gamers that frolock around our community.

Seperate, kind of I guess, they all share info, do you know how many alts I've had in various factions? They let their friends in on info and it's the same way on the MXO forums. Friends of Fickey and others can post whatever they want, they violte the TOS and pass the language filter all the time. It gets reported and then deleted by the mods.

Ok, I must admit the similarities are really suspiciously obvious, although probably not totally definite.

It's funny. With a serious PM, Neolivesftw almost had convinced me that he was not a troll and had a bad reputation in the community (he didn't say that, but that's the impression I got from the style). Well, as much to this.

I think even that wasn't the first time I heard of it, but not sure. It's not just ZippyDodah.

Even if everyone posting garbage about MxO were a group of nitwits, it doesn't mean their opinions are invalid.  Call them out as trolls til you're blue in face, defend the static storyline all you want, proclaim from the mountaintops that there would be chaos without it, shout to the world that this is the best mmo if you just give it a chance, suck up to the devs all day, it won't change what happens to unpopular games.  

Whether people admit it or not, this game is totally lacking in the one thing that was supposed to make it unique to begin with.  The majority of the game community happens to feel the same way, as I'm sure at least some of you are aware.  And anyone who can't see Sony is intentionally depriving this game of funding (in the hopes its unpopularity will cause it to self destruct) really is living in a matrix.

  Whether people admit it or not, this game is totally lacking in the one thing that was supposed to make it unique to begin with. 

this games USP (unique selling point, not the gun) was the Interlock system where by set animations for a real matrixy feel.

Their opinion isnt invalid but rather its not taken serously due to several factors:

• The purposely bash the game
• point out whats wrong with it in generalizations and do not include and pros or ways to fix the negatives
• the use of profanity and leet speak really dimishes the creditablity of the review and or opinion.

You want to express an opinion about something fine, its not hard however to give justifications in a calm thought out manner. Would you listen to, or belive someone was creditable if they went on to say for example, the mayor of your city is cheating on his wife and so forth without giving a logical argument instead of: "Because its obvous!" No, you would ask for some evidence like a photo or a few peoples testamony.

As for the second highlighted item, prove it. Dont just say the writings on the wall, go to an SOE exec or meeting and record a conversation in which they say they are bleeding MXO in hopes that they can get people to leave it or argue your point beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are. Dont just make statements, back them up with fact if you ever expect to be taken serously not only on the internet but in life as well.

I havnt read all the posts here, nor do I care to. But I just wanted to say this. For all of you who have ever told an unhappy and disgruntled player to simply quit the game because they do not like the direction that the game is heading into (CR2.0, wasted new content, etc...), YOU are the reason that these kind of opinions circulate. If you want players/former players to go out and publically say good things about this game, they need to be kept happy, if they're not happy, they'll trash talk this game just as you've seen there. As a player, I am not happy with the current status of the game. I havnt been happy since CR2 went live. What do I tell other people I talk to when they ask about this game, I tell them to stay away. These days I primarily play SWG, and in talking to veterans of SWG who have had their game flipped upside down with new combat systems twice now, when they ask me about MxO, all I simply have to ask them how they felt when the NGE hit, and then to tell them thats exactly the same thing they did with MXO, to which they usually reply by saying "well **** that then". You want players to go out and say good stuff about this game, it starts right here with the player base and the devs, and if that cant happen, then just accecpt it, because no matter how many of you go register on some 3'rd party forums to praise the game and flame thoes who have said negative things about it will change negative opinions, if anything you only go to prove their points.

Reading this, how is the communities fault that CR2 came around? Because if Im reading this correctly, you're saying that, because CR2 came out, its the communities fault for telling people to leave if they dont like it.

It is not the communities fault nor responsability to keep its members happy nor should they have to listen to people complain about the game they play and hold their tounges.

Let me ask you this, you say you play SWG post its combat revamp, how do you like it? If you say you play it more then MXO then you must be enjoying it. Why are you telling SWG vets that CR2 was bad when you are enjoying the SWG CR3? And just to clearify, SOE didnt do the revamp, the devs did who were planning the revamp from the day of the games launch which was well before the game changed company hands.

Generalization. Funny, but it was a generalization.

And like most generalisations, it has a basis in fact.

I find it hilarious that within the first few posts of this thread, the "haters" were proven absolutely right. "*CENSORED* what a load of *CENSORED* *poop*" Wow, yes, applause. What a great way to show potentials that this game isn't inhabited by some of the lowest denizens on the food chain, who, instead of coming up with an argument to counter the points (regardless how stupid and ill-informed) made, decide to throw a collective tantrum. It says a lot about the game and the people running/playing it when immature forum posters elsewhere can generate more buzz about the game than all the PR in the last year and a half.

Everything said about the game is true. It has nothing to do with the Matrix anymore, so why do people still play? CQs? Right. The community has gone from a vibrant, interesting and engaging bunch of people to a few sad egotists trying desperately to become king of the garbage pile. Well, keep fighting the good fight.  I'll be elsewhere, enjoying something with this interesting feature most of you will be unaware of, called "gameplay". Stop taking yourselves so seriously, no one else does.

Maybe I'd think differently if I had played other games, maybe exactly not.

MxO was my first online gaming experience.  Since then, I've tried numerous others, always to just leave and keep my sub open here.  Why?  I dunno, maybe because I love the story, the movies, and the game that much.  But one thing I've found here I never found in EQ2, Lineage 2, COV/COH, etc. was help, assistance, a friendly guide with advice (even if it was just in a conversation, not missioning).  That was something that kept me here, and once I received so much of it, I try to pass it on to others with the same questions.  Will I sit around, or run you through your first set of criticals?  Probably not, as they are a part of introducing you to the game and its mechanics, same as most games.  Will I try to answer your questions on attributes, stats, clothing, abilities and so on?  Of course.  If your going down the same path as myself, maybe I will run some of your crits (past the beginner) with you, or take you on for a couple, if you aren't, I'll call a friend and see if they can get someone to help you, there's lots of us here, I know that for sure.

 As much as people might complain about the community, or sometimes a lack of it, when it comes to this game, the majority of us just plain enjoy it, and love playing it.  That is something we can show to newcomers, and critics alike.
