After Neo cmoes back and Zion destroy the machines, clear the sky, and create a new existance for humanity, what do we do with Merv and Machine operative that still live? Do we kill them? Do we make them work forced labor for some poetic justice?

Lets just assume for a moment that Neo did come back. Whats to say he would even want to help Zion after the stunts they have pulled? Morpheus bombing the hell out of the matrix to get Neo's body, consinquently unknown numbers of blue pills died. The Kid useing Neo as justification for making war on the machines and anyone who didnt follow his matria. Niobe siding with exiles to avenge Morpheus death. Anome going power mad and deliberately targetting bluepills.
If anything Neo would most likely side with the machines.
As for the slave thing, it wouldnt be poetic justice to enslave the operatives that didnt side with Zion, it would be becoming what you hate, becoming the machines.
Neo would more then likely get back to what he left for us to do. Finsh the peace. Were talking all humans able to choose to live or leave the matrix/real world. Machine given an ample power suply (possible teh sun). Merv ether overthrown or something so exiles can live peacefully and yeah a blue sky in the real would be nice (SATI GET TO WORK *CENSORED* IT!)
in other words everyone wins. (minus the idiots who try to ruin it)

Yeah, sure.
1. Where are you going to put those you manage to unplug from the matrix? Zion? Not big enough. The surface? They would freeze to death.
2. How will you feed them? No way you can produce enough single celled proteins to feed everyone to keep up with demand.
3. What about those who cant or wont be unpluged? The extremely young, the elderly, the ones who choose to remain. You going to say SOL and kill them? You willing to have all that blood on your hands?
4. What about The Oracle, Seraph and Sati? They've done no wrong, and have infact helped Zion to the point of putting their lives on the line. You going to tell them to get out of the way now that you are done with them?
5. Ah so human life is better then exile and machine life huh. Sounds familiar, oh yeah, thats the same additute that started the war, created dark storm and had humanity in the pods for 600 plus years.
