So, change the rest of the abilities in-game to outroll these, or just fix the 3 instances of this items? The items are meant for RP factor when killing Lupines, Succubus, Vampires, and Nightmares, and are easily outrolled (against me anyway) against NPC special abilities. Something is wrong with the players then, or the item is bugged when it comes to players. I just owned myself.

If a level 8 interlocks a level 50 and can sit for round after round unhurt by spamming these items.....
Something is busted.
has anyone ever tried to fight a consumable spammer with consumables yourself and see what happens?
Surely you miss the point of this thread?
Assuming you beat the spammer in a fight using his own tactics, how does that stop it being a game issue? We don't believe it should work as it does, whether we can work around it by being scummy ourselves... entirely irrelevant.

i was simply asking if someone has fought a spammer with their own tacitcs, just wondering what the success ratio is of 2 consumables going in a round. i do believe this is a much needed change for this game (consumables roll way too high for conventional use). i do believe though that if you use a consumable on the appropriate class, ex stakes against blood drinkers, they should roll higher, but not for every kind of class of fighter. they should roll around the same as a low class ability does, like overhand smash.
I asked NoRepro about this specifically, he said he didn't feel they were a problem. However as much as I have tried to accept the fact that there are people out there with pages filled with these consumables, I cannot take it anymore.
Aside from the fact that they can do a decent amount of damage to you and outroll you nearly every time, they also imbalance a fight by allowing the other person to recover IS/HP, wait for backup, or just beat you when I know they would otherwise lose.
I don't want to see these in PvP or duels anymore, ever.
I am absolutely looking forward to how anyone can justify these being used in player vs player fights (as much as you carebears think you're killing vampires, you're not).
Addendum:
After some testing I have found that Attack Consumables have a serious accuracy issue. This is not their intention in CR 2.0. It may have just been overlooked during the combat revision. I certainly didn't realize this. I will be pushing to have these follow the normal rules for Ability Attacks we see with various ability trees.
I would also ask that some restraint be used. Obviously this can be a serious issue for PvP. I would suggest not CCRing someone for using these items as they are designed to be used in interlock however unless its obvious they are severly abusing it I ask that we not flood the CS department with petitions.
Please everyone remain calm and exit the building in an orderly fashion...

I never use consumable's I find them a waste of money and cheap but it seems every time their is a problem with your ability to properly test the game that the fault falls on the shoulders of the player base and not the company. Im not trying to come off as a jerk but we have seen it on multiple fault's on the development team's part.
Even suggesting that by using a consumable that you put in game for that exact use just because it is effective to be CCR'd at ultimately the players discretion is not a good move. You know just as well as I do the Sony CS staff has been unable to properly manage these kinds of issues with any sort of class or common sense in the past.
My only suggestian would be to take full responsibility for the issue at hand and not potentially risk your already low player base to more problem's by trying to strong arm your over-looks out of the game.
I understand the budget issue and I certainly understand that mistakes can be made and things can be genuinely overlooked but lets be brutally honest here even suggesting the possibility that people should be punished for this in the slightest and that by using it indefinitely is abusable is ignorant when you allowed this to continue for well over a year. If it is that big of a problem simply prioritize it as such. But please do not suggest that by even using these in any sort of pattern frequency or situation that it could considered "an abuse" of your game system. Its PvP combat people use what works best and right now its consumables like it or not.
^VS^
Oh no i got my tail kicked again in pvp, can you please nerf some other part of the game so i can win my fights.
Its people like this whom make this same suck...
