Don't fret, I do have random pics to just plop here whenever I feel like it. It'll mostly be sigs and the odd actual piece of art. I don't even know why I'm doing this now, so close to my sub running out. Pfft...I just always wanted a placeholder for my art. Oh, yeah, comment and stuff.
So...I like to open with a joke.
See ya later..

Am I the only one who is a little bothered by that squirrel picture? It looks like you killed the squirrel and put a cigarette in its mouth and a bottle by its hand.................sick.

Someone did that during a major party week when I was away at college... yea... it was a little disturbing.

I have chosen to necro this thread instead of make a new one. I've been taking some lessons on Photoshop over the past two weeks, and I think these pictures look pretty nice.
Took a look at the Rain Tutorial posted in this section, then snagged a lightning tutorial from elsewhere. Everything else is all my doing, especially the blue Awakening Shades, blurred background, and random Plastic Wrap. I also made the building on the left a bit brighter. I'm a little mixed on whether I should keep the white glow around my right shoulder. Should I? [Original]
I blurred the background in this one and added blue Awakening Shades, too. Plus I made the building on the left lighter, and the silverish flames on the coat, since they weren't visible to begin with. I also added in some smokey stuff... what else did I do.... buzzzz...... [Original]
This one I'm a mite disappointed in because I could never figure out how to remove the combat text in the corner. >_< Again, more brightening to make the silver flames visible, blurry background, blue Awakening Shades (I call them Sleeping Shades <_<), some rain in the background. Probably the most half-arsed picture here. [Original]

Of course you can have your own images! This is the images section. I'm getting to yah Zippy don't worry.
In the meantime - I might be able to whip up a quickie surprise for you that might be kind of fun just because I simply adore your Squirrely-ness.
Maybe Zippy the Squirrel gets around the tv stations in some form ...
Man am I busy ... so many things ... but this I just HAVE to do!

Hey Zippy, I took the liberty of removing that combat text you had on that one shot for you:
It only took a minute or two using the clone tool. If you haven't learned how to use that yet, you should do that before learning anything else--it's one of the most useful tools in photo editing. It doesn't always work, and it's not perfect, but there's so much you can do with it and it's better than nothing at getting rid of stuff like that most of the time.

Zippy your 11/11/06 post seemed like it had a broken link/image. Can you please fix that? So i can add ya to the player list.

The only good picture in that post happened to survive, so there's no need. =p
Edit: Thanks Stack. I kept trying the Cloning tools, but the result would always be lopsided. Got any tips?
Oh, and some tweaks. Finally rubbed down that annoying shine.
And the resulting signature:
Hm, and some more atmosphere..

The trick to using the clone tool is to remember that it's not always quick and easy, and it doesn't even always work. For getting rid of that blurred text, for example, I had to reset the source location for each vertical line on the building at least once, if not twice. If what you're cloning is skewed by perspective, you're going to have to do it one line at a time. Center the source on an easy-to-find point like the corner of a window, then place the destination in the exact same point on the window above it. Then only do one side of the window, or even just that corner if the size doesn't match up.
It also helps to change the size of your brush if it's copying too much. Large brushes work for sky / clouds / carpet / etc., but you need to use smaller brush sizes for fine details like windows and such.
Another trick is to only do a little bit at a time, and if it doesn't look right, Ctrl-Z to undo and reset the source distance. If you keep holding it down and draw a lot, you run the risk of going to far and having to undo all the stuff that actually did work.
Not much else I can think of. Just always be aware of angles, perspective, how much things change size over distance, and be persistent enough to take time even if it doesn't seem to be working.

No screenshot modifications, just random amateur stuff I did in photoshop. I just really felt like sharing them for once. (Be gentle...)
Winter Holiday's almost upon us, and I'm really looking forward to getting some quality shots to mess with. Until then, winter squirrel sig will have to suffice.
Something I did randomly this morning trying to make a snowflake for my snowSquirrel sig:
