I've been trying to figure this out.

In the first instalment, Neo after being awakened, slides down that long tube and into a ginat vat of... Well... who knows what.

My question is, do newly awakened redpills end up the same place the dead show up?
And futhermore, if so, is it apart of the Red-pill to show the newly awakened as a dead being to the machines in the real, thus being "flushed"?

Interesting topic.

If we remember correctly, the dead are liquified and fed to the living.

Here is our idea...

Perhaps the red pill triggers a contamination warning, something the
machines would perceive as a threat to the pod community. At that
point the machines would "flush" the body to protect the crop.

So, the liquidation process would happen in the pods?

I thought that perhaps they would be "Mass Luquidfied", as to keep with the Efficentcy, or however you spell it.

The only case I would have against your theory Ikkaku, is that they are in a controlled enviroment.
No one would be sick outside in the real in thier pod. The only thing that could be "contaiminated" would be thier brains, and that in it self would be liquified.

Mass liquidation may not be an option as people do not all die at the same time. Dead bodies would have
to be liquified immediatley to avoid any risk of disease associated with necrotic / rotting tissue (see sig).

You make a valid point, which leaves us to wonder, why else would the machines "flush" a body, if not for contamination?
What effect does the red pill have?

I think that the flushing is the act of sending a body to a mass liquification facility. Where neo ended up might not be the facility but the pipe line. Remember, there are human sized "pond scum" floating around the wall in the vat or whatever neo was in before the neb crew fished him out.

I dont think there would be a problem with desease when you consider the average surface temperature would be colder then winter and any pathogenic orginism would freeze without a host. Judging from the "film" that neo punctured prior to being flushed, it would seem the machines take steps to keep the human body effectively sealed from the outside world and each other.

Further more, with the machines being all about efficient in what they do, it would make more sence to evacuate a pod and have a new human ready to occupy it ASAP then have the body sit there and be liquified. Another thing is that the whole pod seems to be designed to allow for rapid evacuation of a body and delievery to a central location.

Finally, if a body was deseased, for whatever reason, chances are the machines would want to research what caused the desease in the body to prevent further loss.

I think the actual redpill did what they said it did, it allowed them the ability to locate the persons body in the real. I think what we REALLY need to look at, is that mirror that Neo touches and started t coat him with its surface. I mean, what was the point of the mirror? Perhaps to get someone out of the matrix, they have to expose them to something in the matrix so out there that it forces the person to wake up, it would explain the code bombs in the game that were used to wake people up early on in the games storyline.

I mean, what wakes you up better? A nightmare or a pleasant dream?

So, I would have to agree with your "pipeline" theory.
That sounds the most logical and sensical to me.

Also, you make sense with the jarring bluepills awake.
That's where the said bluepills phsycy comes in.

If they are the right type, they don't go into shock, and die.
If they aren't.... well... they do.

Problem solved!

But, a question then, what keeps redpills from popping out and sustaining injuries in the vat when they hit the water?

I dont think the pill is tricking the machines at all, i belive that while they have a new redpill in that extraction room there are alot of things going on you dont know about. For instance A-poc was trying to lock onto Neo's signal, and Trinity was strapping Neo in while morpheus was talking to him,but what were Switch and cypher doing with all thier gadgets?

I like to think they were hacking the program code of the matix distorting it slowly in order to make the matrix appear less real for Neo, which is why the broken mirror started to liquify and once it started climbeing up his arm he knew it couldnt be real, so thats what woke him up.

So now that he is awake 1 of 2 thing happens, either he's flushed and goes where all the bodys dead or alive go, and the HvCft is just there to scoop him up before he makes his way to the "liquify factory" (lol) via the sewers. OR perhaps the tubes he slid down have alrternate routs and maybe they they send the redpills to a diffrent area. You know close off this door and open another just change the course of the tube.

Remember the machines know about zion and every so often they go down there to destroy it. Zion is basicly kinda like a trash can, and redpills are the trash. Sooner or later you gotta take the trash out becasue it gets to full.

That is correct. After taking the red pill, Neo experiences a "death" in the Matrix. The shock of it wakes him in the Real. It pretty much follows the idea that if you die in a dream, your body will forcibly awaken itself.

However, the primary purpose is also to act as a tracing program so they can pinpoint his pod location in the Real and rendezvous with him in the respective "pool" after he's flushed.

Am I the only one who has dreams where your falling, and as you hit, you jerk awake?
I HATE those.

Also, how would the red-pill work if it's not real?

A broadcast signal comes out of your head once you take the red-pill?
