I got to wondering, and I don't think this has been answered anywhere else -
We know that the Zombies came out of the Big Surplus ArtBox - aka stuff that was made for the game but never implemented.
But my question is, who the hell MADE ZOMBIES for the Matrix Online? They're pretty awesome looking as well, which makes me think there was a proper plan for them, not just one of the art guys futzing around on his break one day.

This makes me wonder what other cool sounding stuff got cut form the final game, and why so much seemed to not make it too retail?

Been answered before. Power plant construct.
And yes, it was silly. It was also going to have exploding barrels.
Man how did I miss that
But oooh, explodable objects?

Ah, i always thought the power plant was gonna be a part of the aactual city (which made zombies seem silly) but as an archive construct they could actually make a lot of sense. I mean we have lupines in ash and widows, why not zombies in a destroyed power plant?

You mean Chernobyl?
I must admit, I thought it'd be part of the city. And it'd kind of make sense after Niobe and Ghost, well, pulled the plug on the Matrix power plant, if you remember.

Seriously, the power plant construct sounds like a wonderful pvp/rp place. Hopefully it would have indoor areas that people wouldn't be able to hyperjump away from enemies. You could set up neat raids and area controlling. It would be the super dungeon that would be great potential for pvp and rp.

Rarebit, did you just give ya self more work to do now? the power plant construct sounds like it would be fun to go in and shoot barrles and catch the zombies on fire and have there heads pop with blood and some brain matter going all over the walls. Oh yes...the boomsticks shall win the day.

also the if you neaded a reason to explain the zombies at hte powerplant take a look at hte ned of enter the matrix
in the ending we see that niobe has blown up the nuclear power plant to allow neo to get into the white halls and to the architect.
but surley a lot of bluepills must have died in that explosion, which leaves a lot of rsi shells lying around which an exile could possibly inhabit, just throwing out ideas.

that was my faveourite part of enter the matrix aswell, apart from the first bit where niobe/ghost is getting chased by agents, always loved trying to kill em
