This is pissing me off. Won't let me posts unless I click back, click reply again, and paste my post into it. And sometimes even that doesn't work.

I have the same problem altough it doesn't happen to me with every post. It seems though it only does it to like every 5th post I make.

It rarely happens to me, but when it does it's fricking annoying.
i never get it ... in fact i alos never get the Forums bugging from pictures i post... only time i ever buged was on the old Forums wen i Quadriple Posted.... O.O
UGGHHH. All night... all night... actually it just about always happens to me. Fortunately (thanks to many many *ooohhh shiznits*) I've learned to copy everything before clicking the itty bitty bad submit button.
Can something be done about this?
It seems to be connected to a timeout issue, only ever happens when you have the reply page open for a certain amount of time without clicking submit.
That's what I thought too, but it happens even while typing a few quick sentances, and then clicking submit.
It also seems to happen when you want to reply to a thread twice in a short time (including edits apparantly).
And the problem has gotten a lot worse lately.

Yea, I hate the duplicate forum post issues with a passion.
It happens to me whenever I write big posts... so now, I just write them in Notepad and paste in. A bit of a hassle, but when have these forums not been one? lol...

ya the thing is that i forget to copy.... so when i write like a 20line post... it comes up with that *poop* and bah, i cant be bothered to write it again

It happens if you have opened another forum post in a separate window while you have a post, reply, or PM form open.
So if you say hit "Reply" on a post, then open a different post in a separate window, and try submitting the reply in the first window, you will get Duplicate Post Submission.

Yes, it does seem to occur when you have multiple forum windows open. I have also noticed that it happens if there has been any change to the thread, and possibly the section, you are posting to. Such as someone posts in the thread you are replying to before you click submit, another thread was responded to before you click submit, and when a thread is locked before you click submit. (The last example shouldn't really be fixed and I really wouldn't know anything about that type of situation... heh heh)
It's because the forum issues a unique token every time you view a thread (Because of the quick reply area) or post a reply. So the only way to get around this for now is to watch what you open when you go to post and if it's a meaningful post copy it before you submit!
