I was recently thinking of starting a Spy and had a few questions if anyone would be so kind;
(1) What Attributes should I focus on? And close to this, which base starting setup is best for spy? (troubled intellectual, New Age Hippy, etc.) - My goal will be to eventually make him/her into a Master Knife Thrower
(2) As I've experienced solo missions with a spy is very hard - and I find I solo alot. So I was thinking of somehow leveling my spy abilities alongside my Soldier skills. However at the higher levels this would get very expensive. If I were to eventually want to go knife Thrower, at what level should I "switch". In other words, at what level can a knife thrower stand on his own based on thier skills?
(3) Are there any begining items I should keep an eye out for or specic stat enhancments such as stealth detection, or invis speed? I know of a pair of low level collector shoes that help out in those areas, but is ther any others out there?
Thank you in advance for any assistance in this
(1) A good beginning trait would have to be Detached Spectator. It lets you start with high perception and good Reason, which are the two key attributes for Spy. There are others, but I just happen to have that

Anything that doesn't cut your Perception/Reason is ideal.
(2)Leveling with Spy at first is pretty difficult. But once you get Assassin abilities like dropkick and so forth, it's pretty simple. You want to level up so you can equip disguise, as it will make travel A LOT easier for you. After that, focus on landing Assassin moves since they usually wipe out an NPC with 1/2 hits. After you kill 1 NPC, run back to elevator, slap on disguise, and hit the next Assassin Move again. It takes some adjusting to do, but you can clear out missions very quickly using that method. Also, run your missions at Tiny/Hard Infiltration. I find that usually gives you Max XP with minimal effort.
(3) Anything to increase your IS regen is ideal for a Spy because all spy attacks depend on IS. MAs can still IL pretty well, and so can IL-based Gunmen, but a spy depends on all the IS they can get. If you can find a buddy to get you a Lion/Tiger/Dragon Skin coat, they would help a lot with IS regen. Around level 30, you can go get the Caution boots, which give a good IS Regen boost, along with Movement Speed. Also, slap on some resistance clothing. Viral and Ballistic is what you should worry about the most, at least from my experience.
Hope I helped in some way. Have a good one and happy hunting!
