This has been bugging me for a long time and today I decided to say something. We are all guilty of this. Myself included.
Use proper titles that describe your event. You have a WHOLE line you can use. Use it dag nabbit.
If the title is just some guys name that I don't know... then why on earth would I look at your thread?
Don't put just "Event in *insert location*". That tells me absolutely nothing except the location of some mysterious event which so far I have no interest in.
Mysterious event names with no description of the event at all doesn't help a bloody thing. I know. This one I did often. heh.
Are you that lazy that you can't come up with a proper title for your great event? That tells me a lot before I even look at your thread.
Describe your event in the title. I can't stress this enough. If you are going to raid the Museum as the main part of your event.. put it in the title. If there is going to be PvP... put it in the title. If it is a No-PvP thing. Put it in the title. Want an example? Look at the title for this thread. Says it all. Ta-daaa.
Here is another....
Scooby Gang Raid. (( PvP King of the Hill in Zero-One.
)
Or even
Rogue Security in Park East (( RP event. Part 4 of Blahblah cycle ))
It's not hard to do. More people will show up. More people = more fun and chaos.
I know I sound kinda hostile and I want to say that I am not picking on anyone at all. This is something I'm guilty of too which probably explains my attitude on the matter. hehe. There are many good examples and bad examples in this events forum. I'd like to see it turn into all good examples.
The title promotes your event folks. Use a little marketing.
