I just obtained a pistol with the armor piercing attribute, and I am curious how this works. Does it just ignore a portion of the mob's ballistic resist? If so, is there a way to tell how much?

It is the 'Heirloom Revolver' from Cookie's collection quest. When you examine the weapon, 'Armor Piercing' is listed on its own line in blue beneath the weapon name. I'm just trying to get a feel for how to comapre AP with non AP weapons.
I'm not sure, it's supposed to do more damage but I'm not entirely sure.
im not sure but the lancet, needler and stinger have AP bullets, they do more dmg and have good accuracy
9mmfu came into vector one day and someone asked about it. turns out, that attribute does absolutely nothing at the moment. sorry

At least I can use the magnum I have instead since I like the appearance of it better.
I hope it gets addressed sometime, but I am guessing the revamp here was as intrusive as the one SWG, meaning it will take along time for everything (or anything in SWG's case) to start working again.
Chastity, the rifle you get from the collector in southard, has Armor Piercing attribute. Go check it out.
