Brood - The children in one family.
The Winter Brood are the children of the second renaissance. Comprised of veteran operatives as well as the newly awakened, we pride ourselves on knowing our history and pledging not to repeat our mistakes.
Since the beginning of the truce, the Winter Brood has maintained a level of neutrality until recently, when we aligned with the E Pluribus Neo organization. Since that time we have been branded as terrorists and radicals due to the actions of a few unstable elements within the organization. Make no mistake, their actions will not be repeated by any member of the Winter Brood. We believe that the efforts of the One were not in vain, and will pursue any means of prolonging the truce. Optimally, we would see this truce grow and become long-term peace. History has shown that on-going conflict between man and machine will not yield victory to any one side, but will instead cause harm to both civilizations. Therefore we will build on what the One has started.
“How can you accomplish this as members of an organization such as EPN?”
There is no better way to prevent the continued extremist actions of some members of the organization than from within the ranks of the organization itself. This is not meant to be taken as a statement of opposition to the goals of EPN, the Winter Brood shares many of the same ideals and philosophies, but we will not allow the slaughter of bluepills to continue in the name of Neo.
“What if a member of the Winter Brood were responsible for these types of actions?”
No member of the Winter Brood is permitted to posses Code Bombs or similar devices. They are also forbidden from attempting to forcefully awaken a bluepill by any other means. Any and all bluepills approached by members of the Winter Brood are given the choice and the choice is explained in detail to ensure an educated decision. Failure to comply with this will result in immediate expulsion from the faction and the guilty party will be handed over to the Machines. This is not negotiable.
The guild is composed of mature, friendly and intelligent individuals. Our criteria for membership include barriers which help us maintain the high integrity of the Brood. Roleplaying is encouraged. Many of us practice it, but it is not mandatory. It does, however, enhance the game playing experience if you give it a chance.
We have a stable system of governance and ensure fairness in dealings with all members. Honor and respect are two key values within the guild.
