As the Cranial Jack was removed from Trayens head, he took a moment to compose himself, still gives him the chills everytime. Trayen got up out of his chair and immediatley headed towards the cockpit.
"You got his location yet Tru?" Trayen said.
"Well sir we have the hoverbarge on holographics and they know we are here, they have set down just ahead and have sent a couple transmissions wanting to know our intentions. Seems we have caused a ruckus again sir." Tru sacrasitcally said
"Yeah well what else is new these days, just keep a close look out for him. He said he'd find a way off that ship. I don't want to provoke anything, lets give him five minutes before we tell them who we want."
"Yes boss." Tru started to level the Balisknor out and bring her down into a lower standing as to pick up their refugee.
After about 3 minutes of waiting Mercey yelled from the back.
"Sir!....We have someone approaching on foot on holographics..it looks like he got his way off. But now the Hoverbarge is demanding we return him."
Trayen immediatley shouted out orders.
"Tru....Open the Cargo door and let him in."
"Mercey give no reply to that transmission, keep a close eye on them and let me know if thier turrets move to track us."
"Keogh, go down below and make sure our guest arrives safely and take him to the medical bay."
With out any hesitation all did as they were ordered. Trayen had become quite accostomed to his new crew since the switch from Abaddon. He must admit he missed the city alot these days, but his new ship and crew mates of old friends, people he considered his family had helped to close that wound. It was after all time to get back to buisness these days. With Lucadello reinserting himself as leader of this family again, and the ruturn of so many of his former friends and brother, things almost seemed back to normal.
"Captain....Kellner is aboard and the Hoverbarges turrets are traking this way........What should we do." Mercey's voice had a hint of urgency.
"We do nothing, we all know this ship is much faster, but they have more guns... Tru! Power up all pads and get us the hell out of here. Find a secure location for broadcast, I need to take Kellner to Lucadello. A decition must be made about his future with us."
"Yes captain" Tru replied and immediatley powered up the ship and before Trayen could brace himself, the ship was flying at full speed. Trayen had never met anyone capable of flying a ship like Tru.
Trayen made his way down to sickbay, as he entered the door he was greeted by Keogh, his most trusted friend and first mate.
"Sir." Keogh said "Kellner got on board with barley a scratch, that guy is pretty tough to move the terrain that fast, made for a quick getaway. I just hope he proves useful to us."
Trayen replied with a smirk.
"Keogh my old friend.....he's not a prisoner, he is our guest and has formally requested refugee status with us, and wants to become a part of this family. I must confer with Luca first but if it were up to me his wish would be granted. we could really use someone of Kellner's....talents so to speak"
"No prob boss, you know me. It's all about the good times!"
As Keogh walked past Trayen he gave him on of his patened punches to the shoulder. Trayen always did wind up laughing when talking to Keogh.
Kellner emerged from the sick bay and looked straight a Trayen.
"Trayen....I am in your debt, I thank you and your crew for coming so quick...things were getting pretty hairy on the *CENSORED* ship, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get off, but your ship's arrival put them in a frenzy giving me my chance.....Thank-You."
Trayen replied to Kellner with a warm friendly smile.
"Like I've said before my old friend......we may not have always been on the same page but latley we have become great friends, brother even. Make no mistake you are now and always will have a spot waiting on my ship when you need it. but for now we must get in the Matrix....Luca is waiting for us, he understands you intentions fully but you know Luca....he wants to talk to you face to face before he decides anything."
"I wouldn't worry though Kellner, having you as any ally is great for us. Have you in the fold and as a brother to us, is even better. Luca knows this and I doubt even he can say no to such a propostion."
Kellner paused for a moment then looked at Trayen again.
"Show me the way to your chairs, my friend, and we shall see exactly what Luca has to say."
As the two made thier way to central part of the ship, Trayen pointed out a chair for Kellner to sit in, after Kellner was securley in the chair, Trayen sat down in his chair looked at his controller and said one thing.
"Load us up, we need to see Luca fast."
