I am writing this to you from a secure location as wandering the streets has become a bit, ah, dangerous for me lately. The Merovingian and others have become particularly ruthless in trying to obtain possession of the artifact known as The Katana.
For those who are only just becoming aware of this little debacle, I will explain briefly. The Katana is a very rare artifact from a previous iteration of The Matrix presumably featured in the Constructs Yuki and Sakura. A prototype paradise that, of course, failed. Apparently, Redpills were a problem back then too, to a degree. And so one means of quelling the Redpill uprisings was to create a weapon that would utterly destroy the code of whatever it touches. A slight cut that wouldn't even draw blood could, supposedly, delete the victim from existence- be they Redpill, Bluepill, Exile or Program. I'm not entirely sure why or who would come up with such a silly thing. But the fact of the matter is someone did. And now some want it for their own uses. If you wish to know any more about it and how it came into my possession, ask me. I would be more than happy to explain that to you on our own time.
At this time, however, it is time to move forward to obtain the next bit of information that is required to destroy The Katana and eliminate its threat. A mysterious Redpill named Yokuhitsu was recently captured by Mega City Police Department in Sakura. This cultist claims to have once been a Zionite before The Truce. Around the time the crew of The Nebuchadnezzar came into contact with The Merovingian, this Yokuhitsu met The Archivists. He made a deal, the details of which are unknown, which granted him access to Sakura for an indeterminate period of time. He was attacked by the Priestesses there and nearly lost his life until Tengu ordered that he be spared... so long as the Redpill pledge a life debt to Tengu and show his loyalty by killing his entire crew in The Real. Now he has been tasked with capturing The Katana and returning it to its original owner- the Tengu of Yuki. He escaped before he could question him much further.
The information we gained from Yokuhitsu was invaluable. However, it is incomplete. That is why I am contacting you all. Certain gangs in the International District possess information of value to me. In order to get them to divulge what they know, they must be... intimidated. Attack members of the following gangs and take their collector items for me:
-The Phoenixes in Ikebukuro
-The Jade Moons in Shinjuku
-The Chang Wings in Kowloon
-The Shurikens in Ueno
Collect their special gang icons and provide them to Alicethepattern at Club Masamune in Shinjuku on August 22nd at 6pm EST or 3pm MCT. She will forward me your names and the number of items you have gathered from which respective gang and you will be rewarded accordingly with the appropriate funds. I am afraid I will not be able to be present at such a pubic gathering at this time as it would be... detrimental to my health.
I hope I can expect your support and that you will treat my darling Alice with respect on the 22nd.
