THE BIG RACE!(A Race through Richland-westview)(still in the thinking process)

well ive had this idea for a while of a race threw richland and westview. heres how ive planned it.

this race will start and go from uriah-moriah project-camon heights-midian park-eashean project-appolyon-sobre shores-southhard-gracy heights-guiness lake-rogers way- then to mansen parks bridge toll booth near bathary row.

the way this race will be is, the way you get to the exit is up to you, you can run from start to finish hyper jump,subway, even hardline to the finish line. but heres the catch in each of the areas (uriah tabor etc) there will be checkpoints, and at those checkpoints there will be someone waiting for the racers and will give them a collectors item now these items are needed in order to finish. if someone is to not have all the items when they reach the finish line they have to go back to that checkpoint and get the item they missed.first one to the finish line with all the items wins. and as i said they way you get there is up to you ru,jump,hl, or subway to the finish and the checkpoints. even pvp is allowed go ahead kill your fellow racers slow em down if you want but by killing them youre only giving them a head start by hling them to the next checkpoint from the loading area.

im still thinking on adding more obsticles in making this a little longer, like mabe adding people on the routes to slow the racers down or something. this event is still in the thinking process so your opinions and suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Good idea, sounds like fun. The PvP idea is a cool twist to the race.

I see several hurdles to overcome. EVERYONE must go thru each check point to get the item, which will be a strain on only 1 person at each checkpoint, and maybe unfair to some, since they won't get the item as quick. If it is just tag-the-collector then it might get a bit boring.

Would the racers get a list of check points? Or a map? Or a linear race, find 1st check point, get the item, then be told the next checkpoint?

If it's a list, cheating will happen. I can explain how the cheating will be done, if you want. It happened to my faction on the last event we held. We were blantantly lied to.

If the checkpoint person doesn't keep a record (and it would be very hard) then the cheating will be worse.

I'm not trying to put a damper on your idea. We need more events, and I love competing in them. I hope you get this one figured out.

well at the start of the race well email the racers the route and coords of the checkpoint nd so people dont cheat by sending the email to a friend or anything we'll send the people at the checkpoint a list of all the racers. so if anyone thats not on the list tries to grab one they wont.

ways of having the racers not kill the people at the checkpoints are either having lowbies be at the ckpoints people in sneak and come out until they see someone from the race or have people in master shadow.
