I'd like windows to serve a greater purpose than just being things to see through.  I love how you can see the outside world through the windows in the Matrix but there's more potential there.  What if windows were coded more like doors?  Coded in such a way that you could open a window and fire through it.  Coded in such a way that you could smash it open and leap to safety.

I'd like to shimmy up a drain pipe and swing in through a broken window to reach my mission area.  I'd like to scope sniper shots from the fifth floor of the building across the street.  I'd like to crash in through a skylight or burst out into safety.

We have a wonderful 3d (more or less) world at our disposal and this is just one more way we can make it more deep, exciting, and realistic.

Absolutely, completely, totally, unconditionally, 100% agreed.  Brilliant idea, would instantly make this game's cool factor double, maybe triple.

*fingers crossed that something like this is even possible with our engine*SMILEY

I could imagine it if the world was designed better, and exterior windows would match the interior ones. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Basically, you could jump through something you estimate a window and then burst out of a steel wall. Or, since they the lack of accordance also applies vertically, you could jump into the middle of a window and land somewhere at the ceiling inside -- or even inside the flooring.

They would basically have to redesign each building interior to achieve this.

I would just want to break the window...

I dont see why having it like a door wouldn't work.  They could make the windows biggers and it would be like htat mission building where the doors locked but u just jump through.

And if you can shoot through like in that room then you should be able to snipe from there.  SMILEY

No. You can still hope that the Devs start redesigning building interiors, thus, I haven't crushed any hopes.

Although, if you mean the windows between interior rooms, of course my argument doesn't apply. It only goes for outdoors-indoors windows.
