When "Revolutions" ended, it was pretty clear that Neo was the only human to know about the previous Ones, and Zion already being destroyed five times before, and he's taken this information into the grave, as far as known.
However, with the Architect's appearence during the Blue Sky event, and generally with the redpills far more than significantly increased contact with various organizations and Exiles in the Matrix, I wonder if it's still the case, if the humanity is still ignorant about the prehistory.

Also, I wonder how Niobe must have interpreted the Trainman's "That's how long Zion lasted last time." in EtM.
So far, I haven't seen anyone breathing a word about that encounter.

At that time, there were not redpills working for the machines and the Merovingian either, and we know they pretty much know of everything that happened.. Neo, the ones before him, etc. SMILEY

I think it is safe to say over time the information made it through the machines and the Merovingian operatives and then to Zion, so everyone pretty much knows everything that we know SMILEY

Well, technically the evidence would be : we are the redpills, and we know everything that happened SMILEY

I'm just trying to give you a good and believable reason that could explain why we do SMILEY

Eh... weren't we redpills before the Truce aswell? Well, not us but... other redpills? They didn't know anything. SMILEY

Well technically, all of us here in MxO were still bluepills before the Truce.  Only after six months (after the revolution) once zion had peace with teh machines, that we started to wake up from our life-long slumber. I'm sure within those six months is to get Zion cleaned up, working and get ready for operation once again.

Okay, before the truce, everything was as it was in the movies. Of course, the redpills didn't know too much before then. We (meaning our redpill characters) were still in the pods then, so we didn't even know there was a Matrix SMILEY

The truce is here, and everything is changed. The Merovingian and the machines now have redpills that work for them, because they know that as long as there is a truce there is benefit they can gain from us. The Merovingian knows what happened in the movies, the Oracle knows what happened in the movies, the machines know what happened in the movies, and probably other exiles and programs did too.

Who is to say a redpill or group of redpills didn't sit down with the Merovingian and have everything told to them? Who is to say the machines don't have some kind of report on file for their operatives to look at that has all of the events from the movie in them? SMILEY Who is to say the Oracle didn't tell Neo's story to redpills at some point?

There's lots of ways for the information to get to redpills, so it's easy to see how the knowledge of what happened can be passed around naturally SMILEY

If you are looking for a reason why your character knows everything that happened, well I guess if you wanted you could say your hovercraft has all the data on file, like a library has history books, or in that time between taking the redpill and jacking in to the tutorial construct thingy, Niobe's crew explained the history to you while you were in the real world. SMILEY There's lots of ways you could come up with to explain how your character knows everything SMILEY

Hmm.. well you might be looking for an answer to a question that just doesn't have a definite answer SMILEY

You can't really prove that the redpills learned everything that happened in the movies , no, but you can't prove they didn't, either SMILEY But there are ways that it is totally possible for them to do so.
