I have a dream that one day I'll be able to go into concealment without the fear of exposure.
I have a dream that one day I'll be able to go into concealment and not have it crap out.
I have a dream that one day I'll be able to line up the shot without the fear of exposure.
I have a dream that one day all those missed oppurtunities for a cq from these bugs will be redeemed.

I have a dream.

God bless you all!

There does seem to be a pattern emerging of concenalment breaking for me.

a. When close to a object, be it a buidling to the edge of a raised road.
b. When close to a person, this happens a lot less but still does from time to time
c. Lag, we get a small movemnt glitch even though we aint moved, this I believe works with the above 2 to make it happen.

When I attack from open space away from any object or person I have almost never had concealment break or have line up shot break it.

Unforunatly then we are stuck in the unknown until we can effectively Repro the bug.

Until then, if it breaks, be ready to take evasion action SMILEY

wait wait, so you're saying that the point of being a sniper is not to be exposed and beaten to death?

Of course not! If that was the point, we'd be able to do it.

be able to do it.?? able to be neuro darted, sniped, hacked, shot, punched, kicked, punted and simmed to death? or to snipe someone and actually get a CQ in the middle of reds for once.

No, no, able to NOT be neuro darted, hacked, shot, punched, kicked, punted, simmed, and Full Auto'd to death AND to get a CQ for once.

I did a ask a dev post on it, they say that they know the problem is there but they can't reproduce it, (BS), and then it's gotta be passed up the chain to Walrus ect. and be given a priority.

The real problem is that without a solid or even semi solid repro case the Devs dont know where to start looking for the problem. When this is the case with a bug, usually, unless its prevents game play like a client crash or something that effects ever single user, they have other serious issues they can fix and move onto these.

Sometimes Devs will go back and hunt stuff down themselves but due to the amount of really broken stuff this only happens occassionally unfortunately.

I scanned through the thread and noticed alot of folks saying "Fix it!". Now I know many of you may just be venting but you also know that simply saying "Fix It!" isn't going to make it happen.

If you have a sure fire way to get it to occur alot please /bug it. What do I mean by sure fire?

Example:

  • Create <gender character> of <body type>
  • Goto to <X,Y,Z>
  • Face <direction>
  • Intiate Concealment by <method (macro, clicking the the hotbar, from the action panel, ect>
  • State: The problem is <explaination>
  • Result: Issue occurs #% of the time. (hopefully 100% but close to that would be helpful)

This is the type of information that is useful to the Dev to the team when they are looking to repro and fix issues.

the problem about it, at least for me is that for a whole week of gameplay it will then happen like 2 or 3 times. although I do know it says

you have entered sneak

you have dropped out of sneak

you have dropped out of sneak

and it's usually when you go from escape and evasion to concealment.

problem is that they have some kind of advanced diagnostic tools

Conceal is still alarmingly petulant, with increasing regularity.

The below is an example of such petulance, attempting to activate LUTS in conceal:

You can't conceal with enemies around you, this much is common knowledge. When there are precisely two people in the /who radius (myself and my target) however, non-compliance is all the more frustrating and nonsensical.

yeh that is kinda frustrating, the fact that the bug is also on the increase as you suggested is also a bit annoying.

btw although I think that going to english lessons after work is a great thing to do, there are teenagers (neolivesftw) on this boards who might not understand a word of what yer saying SMILEY
