In armed-armed interlock, it sometimes happens that the two opponents go on distance to each other, like after a Body Shot attack and probably some other gun abilities. Judging after the smoothness of some shortened gun abilities like Pistol Aerial or Body Shot starting from such positions, it's not a bug.
However, the bug is that it also happens in armed-melee fights, and in this case, the melee fighter stays in the ranged position and punches in the air.
