Empty playground swings rock back and forth listlessly in the gentle Mega-City breeze. Libraries, theatres, churches and schools lie dormant and silent, the air as stale as it is devoid of the reverberations of voice or music. The once thriving metropolis stands as a memorial to humankind's existence, the final evidence of a mass community interacting with their environment as intended. After dark, the air is besieged with gun-shots, misery and violent bravado, the streets littered with the bodies of men, women and children. Some were slain simply for existing in that particular space and time, others just fell as their connections were severed due to vast explosions back on their ships.
