MegaCity Times

KungFu Guide
MegaCity Times brings you a guide to becoming a great KungFu Martial Artist.

Pretty good, although I'd like to add:
  • KF's Versitility in an open PvP situation thanks to having all three states covered.

  • MA Prowess could use a better explanation: i.e. "MA Prowess isn't just +25 Damage to each of your attacks, since IL rounds take 4s, whatever the buff does is multiplied by four."

  • You could also add a screeny of the KF GM itself (since that's arguably more useful then a shot of the ability proper).

  • Even considering its versitlity, KF does lean towards speed because of WDD+DMS, so the whole Speed / Grab / Speed example is good. (Although I love my Grab.)
Still, good stuff Aqua SMILEY.

Yea, you forgot to mention Dim Mak Strike for speed. But that would be it...

A good overview of Kung Fu but you may want to add the following corrections and details:

You can't buy the Kung Fu ability from an operative vendor. None of them have it. Craft it or find a Martial Arts vendor.

The Block stance also regens Inner Strength at a rate of 10 pts per round in interlock.

Martial Arts Prowess buffs melee damage 1 point per every two levels (max at level 50 is 25 pts). This is not an addition in the damage equation, it is a factor that substantially increases damage way beyond just adding points to damage. So at level 4 when you can first use it, it buffs melee damage by 2 points while Intensify Damage buffs melee and ballistic damage by 1 point (and can be used from the moment a redpill first jacks in). MAP an ID don't stack but it is effective to use both in rotation, even at higher levels where clothing buffs for melee damage bonus are highly sought after to acquire just 1 more point of melee damage.

You can also use Martial Arts Prowess from outside Interlock to buff melee damage on Free Fire Melee attacks.

Speed causes Dazed, Power causes Staggered and Grab causes Unbalanced. All have a 30% chance of inducing their relative states.

All the guides are a great team effort as well as the main MCT project, I certainly wouldnt want to take that credit alone.

I'd love to see this guide but both of the above links only show the Master Knife Thrower Guide.

We have had a few link errors on back issues, I will recreate the individual pages for each guide and link them some point today.

Thanks so much. The MKT guide was so good, I'm thinking of switching to knife thrower. SMILEY

Very good, except you have forsaken the Dim Mak. Maybe your guides will make people who come into the game thinking the combat system is too simple, think again. When you are using the system intelligently, it feels more like an actual battle than just press buttons, repeat. I haven't been too much into PvP until recently, but it is the best way to learn how to fight. In the end being a better fighter also helps you defeat npcs more quickly, saving lots of cumulative time.
