Now that most of us have been playing under the CR2.0 in Live for a few weeks and have gotten a lot of the higher level clothing, I wanted to see what everyone was wearing for PvP and what resists you have.

For me, I currently use a Rifleman/Sniper build and have a general resist setup that focuses more on Ballistic/Viral resists than the other two (Melee/Thrown).

Clothing is:

Glasses: Enhanced White Silver Shard Glasses
Shirt: Enhanced Black/Light Gray Machello Jacket and Tie
Hat: Enhanced Archer Fedora (lv 49)
Trench: Enhanced Lavender Yoshi Asiri Trench
Gloves: Enhanced Barrelhead Gauntlets (lv 50)
Pants: Enhanced Black/Black Hosh Chap Pants
Shoes: Enhanced Magenta Stripe Dada Shoes

Total: 138 Melee | 221 Ballistic | 168 Thrown | 201 Viral

That's also using Hyper Deflect and Hyper Dodge plus stats and abilities loaded.

I also have 4 setups that max a particular resistance depending on who I am fighting. The question though is, how can I macro these where if I click the macro button on my hotbar, I can wear them instantly? Does anyone know how to do this? If so, please tell me! SMILEY

Right, the /use command is your friend here. I have 3 clothing macroes, MDR for Melee and Ballistic resistance, TR for thrown and Viral resistance and Civvies for when I'm not fighting. Drag the clothes you want to use onto an empty hot bar. This will prolly take up 7 slots, then simply type in /macro (name) followed by the /use command stating hotbar slot, then hotbar number. So I would have typed

/macro MDR /use 1, 18; /use 2, 18; /use 3, 18; /use 4, 18 etc etc, as I used slots 1 to 7 on hotbar 18 to store MDR clothes.

I just set up seven Macro's and they switch the clothing instantly. I even went a step further and activated what Defense abilities I want going on at the time as well. SMILEY

For the macro coding do a search in the general Section for "coding
macros in two days"., this is very helpful. I'd give u the link,
but I'm too lazy, lol. Also, I forget who wrote this link, but
mucho kudos to you.

My PvP load-out is Karate/Kung Fu GM

-Melee Damage Resistance: 238

-Ballistic Damage Resisit.: 208

-Viral (ditto): 97ish

-Thrown (dito): a little less.

-My accuracy (melee) is also high, I forget the number. However, like other loadouts I have my weaknesses SMILEY

But, I do have macros set up for clothing depending on who I'm
fighting. Remagdiv; if you can't figure this out, the clothing

ya... the 250 for melee and ballistic are from clothes, there's no buff running for those... but in doing so to get those kind of numbers, you sacrifice IS and Health regain.. but if you're in PvP and have a UM to hit you with fast healing and efficency.. you'll do very well...

I have two sets of clothing, one with 236 Viral/Thrown resist and one
with 236 Melee and 229 Ballistic resist. I tend to get my arse
kicked in multi-damage-type environments (ie. clever zergers, if such a
thing is permissble), but I can hold my own in duels and normal PvP
quite well by swapping between clothing loads.

Well, I think it's possible to get 2/4 resists to cap just from clothing, but now the way xBLINDSIDEx has it, at least not with just clothing alone. I noticed he activated two of the resistance buffs as well when the shot was taken. SMILEY

i find it easier to focus on two resistances and not worry bout changing clothes during pvp. i just focus on fighting the people i will be strong against and not worry so much about the people ill be weaker against. of course i have outfits for dueling. i have a pretty good all arouind build and can pretty much hang with anybody. but i do better against assassins and guns.

by the way..its not hard to get such high numbers for resistance with a patcher build. its made for that. but ct sucks as well and you will still get beat. it will just take a bit longer allowing you a better chance to escape.

The new system is good because it doesn't allow you to be uber in everything. You can be awesome in 2 resists, but so-so in the other 2, or great in 3, but horrible in the fourth, so it's a good balance.

My current clothing setup is the best I have come by so far except Viral attacks will pwn me, however I do have Hyper Deflect running on at all times, plus Determination.

Maximum Total Resistance from clothes is 693, or 173.25 Average. Now, with a buffer doing PF2.0 on you every time, then yeah... you could hit 813 TR, putting you a little over 200 in each.

Considering that Blindside has both his Thrown and Viral Resist buffs on cooldown... here's the reverse engineering guess.

4 Pieces of Armored Clothing = 144 Melee/Ballistic
3 Pieces of Enhanced Melee/Ballistic/Thrown Clothing = 99 M/B/T

From Clothing and a 50% Bonus PF2.0:

243 Melee/Ballistic (Yellow Cap = 240)
99 Thrown
120 Viral

Small amount of Viral Resistance Bonus and a near-50% Thrown Resist Bonus, his cooldowns would put him near those numbers. Then again, he's only like that for a third of the time SMILEY

I don't remember all of the names, but I believe I wear: Enhanced Silver Shard Sunglasses, Enhanced Olive Mechello Jacket and Tie, enhanced green hosh chap pants, enhanced barrelhead gauntlets, enhanced commando beret, enhanced yellow roca, seraphim shoes.

Melee: 25

Ballistic: 215

Viral: 215

Thrown: 215
