Some how the NPCs still know that a spy is around and will attack b4 the spy is even reveiled.  I've done a little testing with it (ie. get my but kicked by a proxy master and sneaking around blue  and yellow NPCs) and it seems that even though players can not see a spy(unless in close range), the NPCs can see a spy from 20 meters away.  I haven't /bug it yet, but someone tell me if they also get this?

Yeah I get that too and its even worse with Escape and Evasion in the Sniper tree. The onyl way to actually REALLY sneak is to use diguise and invisibility. But those are high up the shadow tree.
One of my biggest gripes are the sneak and E&E detectability.

I never had this problem before...perhaps it was something with one of the newer updates?

When I used spy against close level enemies they were always spotting me far away.  I think it is because it doesn't have the stealth bonuses you used to get.

Yeah i feel that sneak should be improved to become more sneaky lol so npcs have more trouble spotting you

I've been getting caught sneaking around level 4 npcs...   and even when I did get a chance to bulldog, it got denied, by that same NPC...    argh..

noticed this also, however when your in sneak mode and you become fully visible to yourself on yourscreen, the npc's no longer seem to notice you.

I am going to look into this, we changed the level cap for Sneak and it might have broken some formula along the way.

However does Invisibility and Concealment seem to be having the same issues?

I will try them out and let you know.

Ok I just tried it out. Escape and Evasion, Sneak and Concealment all do not stay stealthed when I am next to lvl 4 Blackwoods. Invisibilty seems to work fine. I cannot even get disguise to work at all anymore. I load it into the hotbar but it stays greyed out. ???

Disguise is broken at the moment. Please check the Known Issues list. :smileywink:

As a point of curiosity, has anyone tried using the actual invisibility belt instead of the basic Sneak ability to perform their spy moves?

Also Sneak was changed to be levelable to 50 now.

I've used the invisibility belt a few times. Its pretty much the same as sneak at a glance.

HMmmm I used invisibilty and was never detected for as long as my timer was going. Which is the same as live. With no NPCs activly searching for sneaking characters I think that would be correct. Right?
In my understanding, sneak can be detected by someone with a passive detection ability loaded but invisibilty and disguise would need an active ability you need to use to try to detect?
I want to make sure I know what I am supposed to be testing for before i say something works or not. SMILEY

Invisibility and all things that turn you invisible, such as some bomb, still work for NPCs.  It is possible to be detected, but you are able to get in close to your enemy to use your one hit specials.  Sneak and the sniper tree do not work properly when used near NPCs, and I tried using invisiblity to get close so that I could use sneak/concealment, and only invisibility works.

coincedently, if you use ghost knife, and you are not hidden, it will turn you invisible, which will allow you to get in close to use other spy abilities.
