Please stop talking about getting 'pawned' first.
Second, as a newbie you'll learn the new CU2.0 as you level to fifty. The tutorial will only give you the basics of the game. It's like that in the live version, and it will be like that in the new combat version. You'll need the same time to learn CU2.0 as you needed when you learned the old combat system first.
You'll have to acknowledge that CU2.0 is basically a new game. You'll be a newbie again. No tutorial whatsoever will make you a 'pro' with the new version in a day. You will HAVE to take your time to relearn the game again. That WILL gonna happen.
A new tutorial WILL come, and it WILL help you learn the new combat system. But it will not make you an expert with it in no time.
My advice would be to take your time and actually acknowledge that you'll be a newbie again (not meant derrogative) with this combat system and to acknowledge that you'll have to train, test, and learn the new combat system like everyone else. Hop on the QA server and do it now, instead of waiting till it hits live.
Nobody cares if you're getting 'pawned' in duels on the QA server. Or is your ego really hurt if you lose a duel on the QA?
o0?

That's probably the most snide response I've ever heard from one of the most constructive posts I've ever posted. I think my idea is great, and I bet the devs think it's a pretty dammed good idea as well. In fact I'd love to hear some opinions from others on this.
To quote my Lord Frenchman: "Mark my words, boy, and mark them well..."
If this thing is foisted upon us in a half-assed whack-a-mole style where no one knows what they are doing except for a handful of mathematical probability buffs, you are going to see a lovely game exodus.
Guess what. We pay good money for this game. The game is supposed to be fun, that's the whole point. Stumbling around in the dark like an idiot is not fun. I shouldn't have to pay money for another beta version of this game....I've already put in my beta time. Look around you and read some of these posts. We have our concerns about the new system (as we should).
All I did was post a constructive idea, and was rewarded by you with an unwarranted flame.
I love this game. I want it to succeed. I'm trying to help. I'm trying to brainstorm. I don't know what you're doing.

Well, thanks for clarifying that your post was not intended as a flame. And yes I did read the Combat 2.0 for dummies. But like most people I learn my doing so that I don't have to calculate stuff in my mind while I'm playing. I want to get to point where it is instinctual. I think very few of us are at that stage. I want to be ready instinctually when this comes out, and I think my "put the tutorial on the front burner" is still a very valid and good idea and would put us nicely on that path. Anyways you know where I stand and I know where you stand. I'd like to hear other people's opinions on the matter.
