I believe the devs already know about the various buff icons.  They're pretty much placeholders right now.  I'm guessing the icons will eventually be changed to what the abilities normally look like in the Abilities screen.  Meaning the Karate Grandmaster Buff will look like the Karate Grandmaster ability, and so on.

I've just said this in another thread but using a style should automatically activate the associated buff, if that occurs the need to place these in a hotbar ceases and we gain some placeholders back. Having to activate these buffs manually is a very poor idea imo taking up hotbar space and without a single positive reason I can think of?

If you switch weapons again the style you adopt to use the weapon should be automatically selected if it is in your Loadout. It seems there is a change in the very concept of loadouts here, the original concept sees you construct an RSI with the appropriate skills and knowledge for the task you are going to perform in the matrix. You should know how best to emply those skills not have to press a buttun which injects that ability for a predefined time (after all the only consequence is that it will catch people out who forget to do so...its has no material value in its application). The inference of this change is totally wrong imo and contrary to matrix lore. Its not a bug per-se it is a design element and one which is WRONG. The only time you should really be employing such button pressing mechanics is in area's where a necessary draw on IS is required (you dont need that for things you learn only to emply the subsequent special abilities) or in the situation where you are a patcher passing on buffs to yourself or others.
