"They lied to me. All of them. They stole my life from me and I let them do it. Why am I telling you this? Because, you feel the same way, else I would not be communicating with you. I was the lead vocalist of the band Dark Nothing, an elite industrial group that was tearing up the underground music scene. When I was on stage everyone worshiped me as a goddess. That all changed when my drummer came to practice one day with his strange new friends, WanNi, Neurophyte, and Vashuo. On that day the lies that enveloped me were spun and before we knew it I followed them to an abandoned warehouse like a idiot rabbit led about by a carrot on a stick. It was this warehouse that I was offered that dreadful red pill. Looking back, I still ask myself: Why, oh why, didn't I take the blue pill.
"The crew of the Novalis II extracted me and taught me all about the matrix and the operative neural connections. They got me set up with a conrtoller and introduced me to Niobe. The rivethead in me was eager to get out there and start stomping the opposition. At first it was kinda cool. I was kicking butt with the best of them. I had the attitude and the spirit. I felt like I was living in a William Gibson novel. It was all like some big video game or something. It was the best rush I had ever felt.
"That all changed when the ennui set in. I started missing the life I left behind. The music. My band. The screaming fans. The grinding guitars and darkwave beats. The smoky, dingy and overcrowded dives I used to perform at. They lost all their meaning once the veil was pulled from my eyes. Waking up to the reality of life killed me inside. After a while that feeling of loss turned to anger and hate of the deceitful Zionists who only show us the bright side of the coin and not the darker one.
"In my anger I joined the Merovingian's forces....my only real goal was to slaughter Zionists. The Merovingian and his operatives were no better. The Frenchman was just a means to exact vengeance on Zion. It was around this time that I heard about Vashuo's death at the hands of Toorima. I had always wanted to kill the crew of the Novalis II for their trickery...and Toorima had killed one of them. I had to seek her out.
"I left the pompous french fool's service and searched for Toorima, now called Veil. After a chance encounter with Cryptos and his box near a bar Downtown I was confronted by Veil. I couldn't help it... I burst into tears at her feet. Thats when she said the words that gave me hope....she said "You want it back don't you, hun. I know you do. Together, we can help Cryptos return the matrix to the way it should be.
"I've made my choice. My choice is to give humanity back their right of choice. A choice other than endless fighting in the darkness of reality. The choice to live a normal life within the Matrix. The Cypherite cause is your second chance at that blue pill. Ignorance really is bliss."
