Ciao, Rosapillore della Macchina.

It was my pleasure to conduct a debriefing session of the recent event on the Recursion instance of the simulation with certain vital parties. The debriefing proceeded as follows, edited where necessary for security reasons.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Agent_Pace: Let me see, where to begin...
Agent_Pace: First, Gray gathered the bodyguards on the roof of the Kalt building, in Kedemoth.
Agent_Pace: This was the rendezvous point for the elected faction representatives responding to his operation notice.
Agent_Pace: Oh! And MtrWhite, of course, was there too.
Agent_Pace: Thank you, Mr. White.
Agent_Pace: In fact, it was Mr. White who helped organize the representatives once they reached the rooftop.
Agent_Pace: The representatives responded to Agent Gray's mailed summons very quickly and efficiently!
Agent_Pace: I know that Agent Gray told me he received several emails from enemy operatives, congratulating him on a "good play."
Agent_Pace: Were the Zionites and Merovingians very surprised?
Agent_Pace: It was funny that they thought they could get the better of Agent Gray.
Agent_Pace: Oh, we can't be too hard on them. After all, they can't be expected to comprehend from a distance the full resources available to Agents of the System.
MtrWhite: yes, some zionite said, with a loud and terrific voice: "This is only the clam before the storm, be aware!!!!"
Agent_Pace: And then we had the briefing with the representatives in this room.
Archived image unavailable: screenshot_456.jpg
Agent_Pace: I thought the representatives behaved themselves very well.
Agent_Pace: Agent Gray gave a very thorough briefing about the problems and objectives involved in the operation.
Agent_Pace: He told the representatives that... let me see...
Agent_Pace: One of our programs had gone missing. The program had been sent to follow up a report we had found concerning the stolen case.
BugSweep: It was... most distressing. I was too careless in my task.
Agent_Pace: We lost contact with the program, and for some reason could not track him or contact him.
Agent_Pace: We were afraid that whoever had taken the case had damaged our program!
Agent_Pace: The first objective, then, was to find the missing program.
Agent_Pace: The second objective was to find whoever had intercepted the program, as they were believed to be the same group who had stolen the case.
Agent_Pace: BugSweep, everyone was very concerned about you! It was very heartwarming.
BugSweep: Yes it surprised me too.
Agent_Pace: And the third objective was, having found the program and the individual or individuals involved in the ambush, to determine the current location of the stolen case, or at least who was really behind its theft.
Agent_Pace: The representatives seemed to follow Gray's notes very well.
Agent_Pace: Oh, un momento.
Agent_Pace: Un momento, all. I will be right back.
Agent_Pace: Let me see, where were we.
Agent_Pace: Oh! After Agent Gray's instructions, some of the representatives had questions.
Agent_Pace: Ah.
Agent_Pace: Yes, but now you're skipping ahead in the story, tesoro. SMILEY
Agent_Pace: The representatives were wondering who the people were who took the case. Agent Gray gave them the description we had, which was that they were large men dressed in bulky, dark clothing.
Agent_Pace: There was also much concern to know BugSweep's last reported position and heading. Agent Gray told them that this was Center Park, heading south, but that this information was considered unreliable, since his signal had been lost.
BugSweep: I still have no idea how they found me based on just that information. They must have advanced tracking tools.
Agent_Pace: Then Agent Gray told them the name of the program, and asked me to begin the second phase of the operation, which was bringing the representatives back to the roof of Kalt Chem.
Agent_Pace: I'm sure I don't know either, BugSweep. I think it was intuition! That's why we needed human assistance with this.
Agent_Pace: It seems that one of the representatives, Illyria1, located BugSweep within minutes!
BugSweep: Yes, she was the first.
Agent_Pace: BugSweep was in great pain, but very bravely told the operatives what he had heard from the last witness he had found, a dying Exile.
BugSweep: Yes then most of the operatives decided to try and quiz me. If it wasn't for my constant urging, they would still be there and not have found the culprit
Agent_Pace: Yes, you did very well, BugSweep. What was the information you were able to give them?
BugSweep: I was only able to tell them this:
BugSweep: You've got to hurry.... ugh... He said... Has a way out of the city... ugh... Fast...
Agent_Pace: Bravo!
Agent_Pace: Yes. I'm afraid that, at that time, I was tied up with many operatives of all organizations around the rendezvous point, and Agent Gray was away attending to the operation in general.
Agent_Pace: At any rate, the more intuitive operatives seem to have begun searching subways and other means of transport right away.
BugSweep: You mean Agent Gray was playing "solitare" on a computer?
Agent_Pace: Oh dear, we shouldn't joke about Agent Gray so!
Agent_Pace: He works very hard.
BugSweep: Indeed. He may just send me into deletion. Espeically after last time when I called him a girl.
Agent_Pace: Oh! I don't know what he would say to that! He doesn't understand women very well, I can tell you that much.
BugSweep: Well I think he was more upset when I told him he should wear a skirt like you Agent Pace.
Agent_Pace: Amazingly, it was again Illyria1 who located the second objective first.
Agent_Pace: You'd better watch out, or he'll have a consistency check run on your source code, BugSweep! SMILEY
BugSweep: Yes I will try to curb my comments in the future.
Agent_Pace: According to our records, there are three helipads in Downtown.
Agent_Pace: So she found the target, who was at the helipad on top of a very tall building in Morrell, at the western edge of Downtown.
Agent_Pace: Yes, and keep in mind the helipad detail for later, too!
Agent_Pace: The target apparently was very resilient.
Agent_Pace: Illyria1 actually did not die instantly, according to our report.
Agent_Pace: In fact, at first she was getting the better of the man in the dark clothes.
Agent_Pace: She had him almost on the ropes, but then he appears to have experienced a power surge of some kind.
Archived image unavailable: screenshot_459.jpg
Agent_Pace: Yes, and not only that, he seems to have been able to call very high-powered Demon Army gang members to his aid. In great numbers.
Agent_Pace: We know that the Demon Army gang interfered with our initial search for the case. Evidently they were not done yet.
Agent_Pace: Fortunately, soon afterwards, Illyria's faction mates, and many other operatives, jumped onto the helipad rooftop and helped fight the target.
Agent_Pace: The operatives had the target pinned down.
Agent_Pace: But he was finally able to get out of their reach for a moment, and instantly jumped off the rooftop.
Agent_Pace: The Demon Army gang helped prevent the operatives from giving chase.
Agent_Pace: Fortunately, we picked up his general heading.
Agent_Pace: It seems he headed for the subway at the south end of Center Park.
Agent_Pace: Operatives soon located him, trying to escape down the subway entrance. A huge battle ensued, with many Demon Army gang members jumping into the fray again.
Agent_Pace: The target was unable to reach the subway entrance through the mass of operatives. He ran for it again, this time heading south.
Agent_Pace: Minutes later, operatives intercepted him at the Historic District subway station.
Agent_Pace: They almost stopped him just past the turnstiles, but a huge press of Demon Army gang members appeared, and in the melee, the target was able to jump onto a train just as it pulled out of the station.
Agent_Pace: He took the train to south Richland.
Agent_Pace: Again, operatives were hot on his heels.
Agent_Pace: The switched to another subway line nearby, just as a group of operatives reached him again, and went to the northern end of Westview.
Agent_Pace: From there, he lost the operatives for a few minutes. He appears to have run south at high speed, then east across a bridge, back into Richland.
Agent_Pace: Again intercepted, he fought past our operatives and jumped the subway heading to Camon Heights.
Agent_Pace: In Camon, he headed toward the park. Our operatives were too close to him this time, however. The small hill in the middle of the park would be his Alamo.
Agent_Pace: NightTrace found him first, and distracted him.
Agent_Pace: Soon other operatives made the scene, and his moments were numbered.
Agent_Pace: Even the dozens of Demon Army members who appeared could not save him.
Lol... Why did I say "good day" to Darago after shouting "Give us the suit case" or something like that...?
Oh well..  Sometimes I puzzle even myself.
Nice of you to show up, tesoro. SMILEY
What can I say, one must admit when one has been outmanuveared.
But that was only for the moment.  It wasn't long before I had recieved all the information I needed.  Like you, Agents Pace and Gray, I had a backup plan in the event that there would be security obstacles I couldn't overcome.  Everything worked out just fine in the end. *grin*
Now if only certain other factions and random Zionists had opted to join in the search for BugSweep/Darago, instead of making general asses out of themselves in front of you atop Kalt, we may have made more of an impact.  Foxxdie, 00Zero, Darminian, Traxada, Venatrix, and myself represented Zion interest in Machine activities for this event.
It's too bad that I ordered my soldiers not to get involved with your investigations. It sounded like a lot of...fun.
Perhaps next time we can be of assistance.
Interesting debriefing Agent Pace. And a very interesting case of events that night was.
Very glad to see that BugSweep is ok, and thank you again for your comments. Just merely doing my job for the Machine cause.
A memo for those who are reading: We know who was working with Darago during this event. We know who you are, and we're coming for you. I suggeust you scream, hide, and beg for mercy when we show up knocking on your door...
SHe also has an Enhanced Disguise I guess that will cause your RSI to change into an Agent Pace RSI
  Thank you, Agent Pace, for allowing us to assist you in this endeavor.
  Working together to protect the Matrix is something many of us live for.
  Thank you also those that assisted and congratulations to those who were able to combat Darago personally or assist Bugsweep. While many of us were skeptical, I was glad to see our allies in Zion either abstain from interfering or help us in the search. My only concern is from operatives who, shall we say, wanted to use less then honest means to acquire information. I am currently working to find the names of these operatives (and, amazingly, they seem quick to offer them) so my fellow Machinists will not be allowed to hold Zion as a whole responsible. The whole should not suffer for the impurities found its parts.
  We will soon have to deal with The General and I hope we will be able to recover the case with the least amount of human blood shed.
  As to Symmetric's comment, I am sure at least we at the Department of Energy would enjoy working with the Kings of Never if they choose to assist us. Zion is still our ally and our bond is strengthened through selfless acts of assistance, I can only hope we can be of equal use at a later date.
  To those with less... wholesome intentions, you are noted and you are Marked.
  I would tread carefully, for when you enter the Matrix you are at the mercy of the System.
  Do not forget that.
Very astute! Yes, I noticed both of those over the past week--one off the map to the east, I think it was, and one that I hadn't noticed before in Vauxton or South Vauxton or whatever. Heck, there are probably even a few more.
