That's what I was going to ask... And if he were responding to a past tense and he were indeed dead, wouldn't it have been If I wanted Morpheus dead, he would have died then or something along those lines? The way he's stating it definitely hints that Morpheus is still alive.

Or perhaps he lied when he said he didn't want to KILL Morpheus, just stop him from jacking into the Matrix. I mean, really, he was so ready to kill Morpheus, Trinity and Seraph in club Hel, why would he suddenly change his ways? "If I wanted Morpheus dead, he would be dead." He DID want Morpheus dead, he ALWAYS wanted Morpheus dead. And now he is dead.

And this wouldn't be the FIRST time the Merovingian has blatantly lied to everyone. Didn't he originally say he didn't have anything to do with Morpheus's assassination in the first place?

This isn't a flame just an observation. In almost everythread where Morpheus being alive is mentioned. Im the one saying yes he is alive and your the one saying no he isn't......are we the only ones debating this?
