I get a "You can not use *such and such ability* with your current tactics" when every I try to use a build from two different trees.
Example: I find it fun to despoil my opponent, then beat the muffin cakes out of them in close combat. I do it once and I'm fine. Thing is, it doesn't work all the time. I try the same routine a second time, but it doesn't work. I'm not saying that despoiler isn't despoiling, but it isn't even attempting to launch.
I've also tried using a Proxy/ Martial Arts build, and it won't let me use the proxy abilities.
Guys, if your reading this and something similiar has happened to you, plz post it so that the devs will take notice.

yeah i had the same problem yesterday
the way i fixed it was to unselect all my abilities rebuild the exact same loadout and save it with the same name
might take a while but if it fixes it it is worth it
i think it might be that the loadout files may have become corrupted somehow but i do not have any ideas at the moment as to what caused it (update maybe)
although my coder loadout worked fine my arbalest / balista, kungfu and daemon loadlouts were bugged

I'll check into that, but I don't think that it was at the time because this was before that was implemented (i think...). I was using different tactics during the fight but afterwards anything did that. I did notice recently when I went on EP that block did turn off all abilities (thich I think is a great idea) but it didn't seem the same as when it happened a week or two ago.

I sent in a bug report about this, but if it isn't a bug would you please change it back. One technique I used ti employ, would be to interlock the target and then begin blocking to regen health, while at the same time putting specials in for a lot of damage between the blocks. With the current system blocking is basically a shut down, and doesn't even regen IS.

blocking is a tactic now...and while I think it should still give you IS when used in IL outside of interlock you use it to keep your sheild up the longest amount of time against agressors. But since trying to interlock someone takes away IS at the same time for the blocking person gaining IS outside of interlock would be pointless.

I agree that it should not provide IS outside of IL. I also think it is excellent that it deactivates specials outside of IL, so some people (hackers) can't run around using the block tactic to increase their evasion/defense and still attack. However, specials should still be usable in IL when using block. It is a perfectly viable tactic to block to regain IS, thereby providing yourself with the IS neccessary to spam the specials until they go through.

I think the bug is simuliar to NPC bug. I've notice that in the EP server, that almost after every time I die, I end up rezzing with my tactics defaulting to it. And I do think it is inheriently defaulting to block tactics, without showing the block tactics icon under the hot bar. In fact, I don't think that there is a tactic selected when I rez.

changing styles is now very important to avoid this, though some moves "auto" chnage a style , going into say spy doesnt when one of the basics is slect, so i have to then select another style just to fix that, unless thats whats intended..

hmm, maybe they can have a sort of "preferred tactic" that you can set that makes you default always to that tactic. Because tactics are different for every class it'd be nice to know that it will go back to the tactic that you need.

i have seen this bug multiple times and its by far the most annoying bug in the game
it happens because your stuck on Roll out tactic but you dont see that your stuck on it unless you go into Interlock. how you clear this is click on speed tactic grab or power and just wait for it to switch to that tactic and it should clear itself
this is a bug that SOE desperately needs to fix though before they go live its one of the most annoying bugs and its one reason that i keep dieing
