I agree with Elome here. Depending on your att's you can b rather useless with guns. I'm a MA most of the time and I tried out my Sniper I've had forever just the other day and I pretty much have to shove the barrel down my enemies throat before I pull the trigger. I don't think I should have to change my att's just to be a half decent Sniper but a little more balance in this area just so I don't have to get that close. Someone else who may always be a Sniper may of course still be able to have more range (effectively) than me but, I don't know, just feels wierd.
