I have a few clothing I still keep for the looks of them, but they're way before my level. Yet, I'd love to have a level 50 equivalent for them so I wont have to switch for fighting.
So my idea on this is: Upgradable clothing!
Say, you have this black Jayne Half Duster, level 10 with 10 points to Melee and Ballistic Resistance.
With a new Coder ability you can upgrade clothing to your level, for a reasonable price per level of course. Also, you have to have the "upgrade clothing maker" ability leveled to your level so you can't upgrade clothing beyond your level. That and a little timer and it fits the whole Coder tree imo.
It's impossible to add or remove buffs, only to level the current buffs it has, as I think this is easier to implement.
This way your sweet black Jayne Half Duster can go from level 10 to 50, for a cost, but a worthy cost it is I think.
