Ok folks, first off my apologies for the long post and my ignorance if anything I say here has already been covered. I wanted to compile a wish list that I have been thinking about for a long while and hope that you folks could tell me what you think of it, if it’s even possible for any of this to actually have a chance of being implemented.
Areas:
1- Hel Club – This place without a doubt needs an overhaul. I mean, c’mon it only looks like the generic version of Hel Club. Make the place darker; with more strobe lights and npc’s, in other words, make it look like the one in the movies.
2- The Bridge – I believe this one is in Uriah, if I’m not mistaken, you can’t cross it, but I would like to see if that problem could be resolved (maybe have it cross into Downtown, or International?)
3- The Hallway with all the Doors – Although from what I understand this place wasn’t meant to be used by the players. I figure, what the hell? Everyone seems to have found a way to get there, might as well allow it to be open to players (plus the unbelievable potential it has for missions, more on that later.)
4- New Areas and Archives – As far as new areas, all we have are Richland, Westview, International, and Downtown. I would like to see some new areas. Some ideas I’ve had is a Las Vegas type area, Abandoned or functioning Amusement Park, a trainyard (like in the Animatrix), a Zoo, the Airport (form Enter the Matrix) The sewers (from the same game). Something that would make the city have even more substance. As far as Archives, the only suggestion I have is to make one like the old Coliseum in Rome (maybe try our hand in combat with gladiators).
5- Changes to the City: Ok we have all seen the new club in Downtown (Pillsen). It gets me thinking that there should be more adjustments they could make to the city. Police Stations and Hospitals are the first things that come to mind, I mean the surgeons from Pandora’s Box had to have practiced medicine somewhere, and the cops must have a station house they report to. The construction sites should also get a change over, we’ve been in the game for over a year and it seems like the construction crew can’t get off of ground zero. I don’t want a building to be where the site was but perhaps a half constructed building, or the frame of one?
6- Places of Note in the City – Le Vrai (where the Merv ate in the movies) Mobile Station, the Oracles apartment, and the Merv’s Château. Awesome places I would like to see.
Missions :
The bane of every player, the grind is a pain in you know where but I think some of these ideas may help.
1- Thinking about the room with all the doors, I thought that a good mission would be to collect the keys for the doors. Places like Le Vrai and the Oracle’s apartment for example could only be accessed by using these keys. If a mission is too hard to make up for this sort of prize, how about having the bosses in the construct have their usual drop replaced by the key?
2- Have some missions that pertain to a certain area- By that I mean I thought it would be cool if they used a dungeon (or even the Sewer System I suggested earlier) to be part of the mission objective. I’m sure we are all tired of just going to the same office type building to do a mission.
3- More Contact missions – They don’t pay nearly as much as regular missions, but for me they were a lot of fun, would like to see more contacts.
Factions and Gameplay
1- Faction controlled areas – This would certainly change the politics in the game immensely. The bigger your faction or strength of the faction, the more area you control. The area your faction can have under its control can be one city block or if they are very strong, an entire area (Murasaki, for example). You could establish alliances with other factions from your org to increase the territory you control. You can also make deals with other factions from different orgs for Right of Passage, and the way it’s gonna be enforced? When the faction (let’s say The Detainers) wants to own a city block in Lemone, the faction has to meet certain requirements (lets say have 12 members or more in their faction, level requirements, etc). The area they stake as their own automatically is a PvP hot area, which means as soon as you walk into their territory you’re PvP hot. Likewise the Detainers are going to be PvP hot the moment they are in their territory.
2- A bank- would be nice if we could have a faction type bank. Or increase the space in your loading area.
3- Speaking of loading area, it would be nice if we could change loadouts and abilities without having to run to a hardline.
4- Area Effects- More than just using the elevators or opening a door. I’d like to be able to crash out of a window once in a while (Trinity did it) or break down a door (Neo did it). Also it would be cool if we could use melee weapons besides a wooden stake or Holy water, how about a baseball bat, pipe, pole or wooden board?
Characters and Clothes
Probably talked about already but what the hell, I’m almost done.
1- RSI change- Suppose you started playing this game with a crappy video card and when you upgraded to a better one, found out you’re character looked like a mutant? Be nice if you could make the corrections. Even if you want to change the hairstyle, give your rsi a tan, or give it a tattoo. It would be cool if you could do those things.
2- Clothes: More styles please (I think I read somewhere that cloaks were suggested). Also they should have options on the Rocca wear (hood up or down). A new option for the Apparel Maker could be to change the color of any clothes he or she makes. At least we won’t have the same hundred red pill clones that are stuck with the same clothes because of the buffs. Also I heard that it was suggested that the foundation garments should be changed (undies, boxers, bras). Not a bad idea since we all seem to go to the same store for that and buy from the same shelf.
Well that’s all I have for now, and I do know its a lot and most likely impossible to fulfill but as the title says it’s just a wish list.
