There are alot of things that NEED to be changed about the current system in almost ALL aspects of the system with respect to the things that do work and are balanced... If it is brought up as a major issue enough times, the dev's will take a look at it and change it if need be. In the meantime we cannot say what can or cannot change because we have a precursor to a major overhaul already in the workings: CR2.0. That alone should be a testimony to how much of the game the devs are allowed/willing to change.
