Some of us were fortunate enough to share a conversation with TheTailor concerning these Sleepwalkers that have been attacking throughout MegaCity. Although I cannot put these ideas out as eloquently as TheTailor did, I will do my best.
It is his idea that the Sleepwalkers are partially awakened bluepills. Innocents trapped in the their pods, still connected directly to the Matrix, but aware. Imagine the state of mind of these inidividuals... lost, scared, confused and angry.
Who would do such a cruel and heartless deed? EPN would gain the most by destabalizing the matrix in this manner. Every time a sleepwalker is killed, the Matrix loses power, even the Architect is concerned about this, which says alot.
For now this is just a theory and TheTailor was certain to make that clear, but also that in the sharing of theory we can possibly find some truth.
