Flood
To me flood is a very interesting program. He is interested in gaining power for him self but he ended up getting stuck as a pawn of the Merovingian. He is rather sarcastic and witty when conversing with red-pills and seems very displeased with his job. Overall I believe flood is an interesting program that does not get as much attention as the others.

Greetings. You've reached the psychic hotline...
The following automated message is the prediction for Monday, November 21st.

... The code falls. The code rises again.
It's a cycle.
It looks a bit different from this side.
It looks a bit different when you're blind.
But the cycle never changes, so long as no one makes a choice to change it.

It is, perhaps, ironic that I see so much clearer now than ever before...
True, black lenses now cover empty sockets, where once I had what could be jokingly referred to as "windows to my soul", but there is so much more one can see when one is sightless...

For now, however, let us look back on the past, rather than immediately casting our sight toward the future. Let's start with the beginning... The first day.

I knew my activities were dangerous; I knew something like this had the high potential of happening as a result... I knew that my actions would draw redpills from throughout the Matrix, each with their own agendas - each curious as to the nature of my research. I even was so bold so as to expect some of the more powerful faction leaders within the organizations to take notice (as indeed they did). However, they were not the only ones interested in this little endeavor...

Agent Pace met with the Machine Operatives... And Fenshire, apparently by the Chelsea NW hardline, on a bridge overlooking the Mercer Canal.

Meanwhile, Seraph met with the warriors of Zion to express his "concerns" at Pierce Plaza in the Furihata Neighborhood...

... As Flood, nosy to a fault, met with the Merovingian soldiers in Club Sphynx in Dannah Heights to - what else - poke his nose into my business.

After a bit of confusion and some runaround (all engineered by myself to buy more time, of course), the intrepid redpills managed to corner Terminal, an Exile whose original purpose was to facilitate the cycle of death within the Matrix. She was found, fittingly, in the Black Line Subway station in Shinjuku. I must admit that Terminal is rather fond of train wrecks for some reason...

At any rate, she led them, as expected, to the Dawei Sculpture in Yeung Park, Murasaki, where I happened to be sitting finishing up a bit of calculation.

After telling those assembled that I required their help, and explaining that I needed both a large quantity of Exile Blood and a Dire Lupine from Ookami, I sent them on their way. The sun settled over the horizon, and the end of the first day came upon us all.

On the second day, I received my own little surprise from the ghosts of my past.
Someone named "Tangent" of the HvCft Rhadamanthus sent a long-range broadcast to everyone, warning of my treachery, and spouting all sorts of things that I had done (which, in all honesty, are completely true). I suppose I am fortunate that the ship itself was out of broadcast range. Having to fight Epsilon in the middle of a meeting would have been the negative highlight of my day, I'm sure.

Speaking of negative highlights, we did have a little act of terrorism that day, didn't we? Honestly, I was planning on doing the same thing those operatives did... But they managed to do it before I had a chance to.

Things seemed to be going well enough... I got my blood and my Lupine.

At this point, my guard NightmareX informed me that a group of Zionists were on their way to my position with an order for my arrest... Before I knew what was happening, explosives started going off in the middle of the crowd, which led to the release of some particularly nasty Exiles. Needless to say, I escaped quickly - which had been the whole point in the first place.

Others, however, were not so fortunate.

The sky continued to darken, though the Exiles were ultimately defeated, and the setting of the sun marked the ending of the second day.

On the final day, I asked Terminal to make a public broadcast, following up on an invitation I had sent around earlier to my "funerary party," as it were.

The hour came, and the guests started to arrive... There was a certain tension in the air. Many of them had never seen the hidden club before - it was a good place for new plans, and new discoveries.

Surrounded by some of my closest friends and enemies, I announced that one of them would have the esteemed privilege of killing me.

Disabling my auto-jackout protocol, and enabling the program I had written for the transfer, I sat down on the stage and waited for someone to simply shoot me.

And, eventually, someone did.

My RSI decompiled successfully, all that I was torn apart, infused with new code. I was remade into something else, something more, something... Exilic.
Of course, even the best-laid plans never work absolutely perfectly...

The loss of my eyes is, however, a minor inconvenience. Exiles, as I am now aware, and as I always supposed, are able to "feel" the code. Thus, although my RSI has been blinded, my mind possesses better sight than ever.

As you can see, the infusion of the Dire Lupine code was, at the least, a success.
On that note, and as I had promised, those who helped me in my experiment were richly rewarded.

For bringing me the Dire Lupine, Major Kusanagi of the Devil's Advocates received a Sakura Ninja Mask and a pair of Widow's Moor Lenses.

For actually bothering to kill me when I told everyone that someone would have to do it, HighAngel of the Rakshas Evolution received a Sakura Ninja Bandana and a pair of Widow's Moor Lenses.

For bringing in a considerable 455 vials of blood (out of a total of 527 vials collected), the Devil's Advocates faction netted themselves 100 million info.
The Kings of Never, and the MegaCity Department of Energy each went away with 50 million info. KashiraKyoushu received 20 million info, and Austrian got 10 million for himself.

Thus, I owe my allies nothing.
I owe the world nothing.
I am free to be nothing.
... As it should be.

Once I am accustomed to this new form... this new way of being one with the world... I may choose once again to resurface. I shall certainly keep up my duty to the Merovingian, for I still require his patronage. Beyond those eventualities and obligations, I shall simply remain.

In Exilium,
The Endless Void

... Thank you for consulting the Psychic Hotline. Goodbye.

Who thinks that I should create a website on it's own to house this information  for public access? It is becoming more and more difficult to maintain it on the forums as I get more information I want to add.

Opinions?

A wonderful idea. Let me know if you need a hook-up for some webhosting, free of charge.

Definetly.  That would be the sweet.

Thanks for the offer but I have my own webspace, I'll probably just use the mxodisciples website -nod-.

Guess this gives me something new to do, ne?

Nice site. I am guessing if we want to be in the operative databank than we have to post in the Character Biography Section of NR.

No you do not have to post in character biography.

From the part where you talk about Cain:

Symbolism

  • In the Bible, Cain and Abel are the two sons of
Adam & Eve. They both were the first occupationers: Abel was a
sheperd and Cain was a farmer. Cain killed Abel out of a jealous rage,
because god took Abel's secrifice but didn't take Cain's. Although Cain
and Abel are 2 figures from biblical stories it can not be assumed that
the Cain and Abel of the Matrix movies are brothers.
  • It is
believed that Cain and Abel are lycanthropic (were-wolves) programs,
because Persephone was aiming them with silver bullets insted of
regular ones. Silver is believed to be the only way a weapon can kill a
werewolf as they will nearly-instantly start to heal from any other
sort of inflicted injury. The other methods are to behead them or, as
is told of more European were-wolves (who peel off their wolf skins
during the day to pass as human) to take their skins and burn them.
--------------------------------------------------

You may be interested to know that it is widely believed that Cain beheaded his brother Abel as it was the only way you could kill someone at that time, before the world flood in the story of Noah's ark. I remember this from watching a video of a Christian scientist and all the information gathered from looking at the bible and geographical evidence.

God declared, in Genesis 6:3 that man shall live no longer than 120 years. This was excluding Noah's immediate descendants, (see Genesis 11). But the reason we all die is ultimately due to sin. In Genesis 5 you see where it lists the ages of the decendants of Adam & Eve, who lived for a very long time. Noah lived 950 years, and it took him i think 120 to build the ark, or in other words "the box" which was what it was. But before the flood the only way someone could die was due to being beheaded, or possibly age, i'm not entirely sure. The body is designed to be immortal, i think cells in the human body can live for 8 years before dieing off and being replaced. Cells that don't die become cancerous interestingly enough. Parallel perhaps to programs that refuse deletion, like Smith, very human like, became a "cancer" because he refused deletion.

Totally unrelated, the sky was pink before the flood in the story of Noah's ark ^^.

I found out about the "history" of The Matrix/The Real World via the old Matrix game for PS2 "Enter The Matrix". Though the game was awful, the strategy guide that I had gotten with it as a "treat" had the history of the matrix on the back page. Useful since it goes from when the machine AI was created all the way to the last transmission of the Osiris.

Rogers Way

[This is a story based on the history of Roger's Way as described in both the city guide and the Atlas in game.  Enjoy. -Trikraft]

It had been 48 hours since Roger had slept.  He was tiring.  He had been fighting non-stop since then.  They knew now the prophecy to be true, Strike was The One, and they knew they had to get him to the Source.  The Source, Roger had never even heard of it until yesterday, nor did he still know what it is, but he knew Strike had to get there to end the war.  It had been a gauntlet, pure hell.  They had lost men from their ship, the hovercraft Linenoise, they lost Wilco when he stood against an army of Lupines blocking the way to the hardline in Downtown.  There were so many of them, hundreds.  They lost Nove and Echo to Agents while retrieving the key to the door that Strike had to enter.  It began to rain that night, thick, heavy drops that stung the top of you head when they hit.  The rain kept coming, flooding the streets, forcing a populace indoors.  The streets were empty, the water rose to the ankles on Roger's boots, the sky was black.

Roger sighed heavily as he stood in the alleyway, Strike close behind.

"How much farther Strike?", Roger said, out of breath.  Strike walked out into the open street, which was illuminated with a ghostly glow, the streetlights making halos in the rain.

"From what she told me, its just there, that building", Strike said, pointing to a tall office building 15 blocks down.  Its lights were dim in the hammering downpour, but it was there.  It rose above the squat houses in this place, standing out among the rest, the elevated freeway passed overhead, shielding the street below from the rain, and leading.  Strike and Roger walked under the elevated highway, slogging their way to the building.

"15 blocks", Roger thought to himself, "only 15 blocks, that ain't nothin'...nothin' at all.  We can make it, we can....."  It was then that Roger heard the sound he dreaded coming from the hotel lobby behind them.  The loud screesching, echoed screaming, and horrific crunching as a human host was taken over by an Agent program.  The hotel doors revolved, their gold trim catching the subdued light, and a trio of Agents stepped on to the road.  Roger and Strike stopped where they were, and turned slowly.  There they stood, in their full length leather trenchcoats, subdued class hidden under layers of kevlar and leather.  They wore their sunglasses, even in this darkness.  The Agent at the center of the blackened V walked forward and spoke.

"Mr. Walker...Mr. Devlin...I am...impressed that you have made it this far.  Not an easy feat", the Agent stopped for a moment to smirk before speaking again, "however, this is where you stand now, drawing your last breath.  You shall go no farther, this, is where your trip ends."  Roger and Strike stood, staring down the trio of Agents.  Roger reached under his coat, and silently flicked a switch before turning to Strike.

"Go Strike, get to the building, get to the Source.", Roger told Strike, his face grim.  Strike's face grew concerned.

"What do you mean?  I can take these guys, easy.", Strike said with confidence, slightly concerned.

"We don't have time Strike, the timer is running short.  You can't delay while trying to take down these clowns, let me do it."

Strike looked saddened, "Roger, you'll die, you can't face them down, everyone has died, and I don't want to lose you as well.  You're my last link to the Real."

Roger smirked, "I'm beyond that now, there are more important things than me, I know this.  I want you to know something though...I never believed the One myth...never.  Until now.  I believe, Strike, I believe......now.....run."  Roger turned and ran at the Agents, Strike turned and sprinted as fast as he could toward the building, he was a blur as he crossed block after block.  Roger continued toward the Agents, who had drawn their guns, and were firing at Roger in short bursts.  Their bullets kicked up spouts of water all around Roger as he closed the gap.  The lead Agent smirked, aimed his weapon, and cut Roger down at the knees.

Roger grimaced in pain, and toppled over, sprawling head over heels several times, landing prone on his back 15m from the Agents.  The lead Agent slowly approached with an amused smirk on his face.  The sky lit up brightly from a blinding white light from down the street...Strike had done it, he had reached the Source.

Roger coughed, producing crimson blood from his mouth, he was dying, but slowly the cough turned into a laugh as the Agent drew ever closer.
"You did it brother, you did it."

The Agent loomed over Roger's head, pointing his submachine gun down, focusing on Roger's head.

"Perhaps an introduction is in order.  My name is Agent Park.  My associates are Agent Mills, and Agent Smith.  We already know who you are Mr. Devlin, so no introduction necessary."  The Agent stretched slightly before levelling the gun again.  "This, I believe, Mr. Devlin is the end of your time here.  So sorry it had to be this way."

Roger looked up at the Agent, beckoning him to come closer, as if he had something to tell him.  The Agent, amused by all of this, bent slowly forward allowing Roger private audience with him.

"I believe.....you can go to hell."  Roger punched the detonator in his hand, and there was another bright flash as the nuclear device detonated.  The heated shockwave blasted the support struts away from the freeway, sending it crashing down on himself and the agents.  The facade of buildings were blown away as the world disentegrated into code, swirling symbols as the world was torn apart.  It was the Reload.

Strike had made it.

Strike had returned to the Source.

And Roger?

Roger had his way.

He made a stand.

I think it would be really neat to have this linked on the main site, like a Matrix archives. Of course this will never happen, but it doesn't hurt to dream.
