The Military Man (story/event)

After meeting with The Frenchman Steve Masters headed back to Agent
Gray's office and told him that he wanted to have a change of his RSI
and wipe his memory so that he wouldn't give himself away to the enemy.
He knew that this would be the only way to stop the hunting for his
life, he was then lead into a back room where he was changed. He wasn't
Steve Masters any more he was another person...he was Maes Hughes, a
man that loved his family and was working for the military as a
Lieutenant Colonel. Before he had his memory changed he said it was a
good look and went under not to remember anything that had happened. He
came out as Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes with no memory of his former
self, with this he walked over to Agent Gray and saluted him and walked
away.



While on some of his missions though he was attacked by many Lupines
once again as if they knew it was him but wasn't sure. He started to
think something was up because of the large amounts of Lupines kept
coming after him. As he was thinking about this he had a flashback of
him and his friends posing for a picture under the Hypercube Monument
in Mara but he didn't know what to make of them. Now he is trying to
figure out what is going on and why he keeps getting these images...

   As he wondered the city he remembered hearing about the
Oracle so he asked around and found out where she was at. When he got
there he met with Seraph, he was standing there ready to protect the
Oracle if he had to but he saw that Hughes wasn't there to attack her
but to get information about Steve Masters. When he walked in to see
her she turned around right away and told him that something big was
coming for him and that he was not who he thought he was. The Oracle
told him he would be facing a great challange soon enough and he would
have to be ready for it or he would die, a little shocked at what she
had told him he stood there for a bit thinking until he decided to
leave.







   Right when he stepped outside the buidling he got a call
from Agent Gray about a mission to deal with the Commandos about an
important missing item. When he arrived at the location he met with the
Commando that was in charge that was talking with Agent Wong but was
getting nowhere. When he got there the Commando lost it and ordered his
men to attack but they weren't going down that easy. Agent Wong ordered
the other Agent and Hughes to attack the attacking Commandos. After the
deletion was finished Hughes left the building hoping to do some other
work when he got another call from Agent Gray. He told him that the
General was willing to meet with him but only as a proxy to apologize
for the attack and to meet about the missing object.







   When he got to the location and talked with the General's
proxy. After talking with him the General stated they had nothing to do
with the missing object and their information was poor and they were
missinformed. As he left the building he informed Agent Gray on what
the General had said and it made him quiet fustrated because he knew
their informent was correct and hung up. Hughes just continued walking
wondering what the Oracle was talking about when she said he would be
in a big battle....

As the days passed a old memory returned. Spotted in a bar in Tabor by AliceThePattern Steve Masters was sitting there drinking wondering about what he was going to do. As it turned out he was only away to get his RSI reprogramed and memory erased at a location he found out about through the mahcines but it turned out that it was the Commando's that had set the place up as a place to clone RSI's so they could have larger numbers. He was told that it was a failure but in fact it was not, they produced Maes Hughes from his clone and changed the memories of this new program. It was a crazy month or so for him because he was away on another mission but when he got back he heard about this new person that had some of his memories when he was trying to find this program he was attacked...
