Full Name: Miyoji Akira (Note: "Miyoji" is the family name)
Handle: Void
Zion Identification Serial: DECEASED - Serial Recycled
Age: 23
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 140 lbs
Eye Color: Green (Wears full-eye black contact lenses)
Hair Color: Black

Other Distinguishing Features: The black eyes are the first thing one would notice about him, even though he regularly wears sunglasses over them. Many tattoos and piercings, "gothic" manner of dress, prone to extreme over-accessorization. Would probably get lost in a crowd, if he didn't stick out so much. Even unarmed, would NEVER make it past a metal-detector..
Age of Freedom: 23
Years Freed: <1
Current Ranking: Traitor (Deceased)
Former Hovercrafts(s): The Andromeda
Current Hovercraft: None
Weapons of Choice: A engraved pair of black Glock G18C's, shined to perfection. In hand-to-hand combat, Void prefers a flashy-but-efficient hybrid of Karate and Kung Fu. He has also been known to employ knives and other melee weapons.
Personality: "Less-than-sunny". Void does not work well with others. He's a loner, and very narcissistic. His best friend is clearly himself... Still, there is a larger side to the man. He constantly seeks true enlightenment, albeit in all the wrong places. His inability to accept others as anything more than tools will more-than-likely lead him nowhere. However, when he does find something beyond himself to believe in, it might well be the mechanical perfection of the System. It is known that he wishes he WERE a machine, in terms of perfection... Odd, in that he did not, until recently, know the truth of the Matrix, as such. Given such facts, no attempt would ordinarily have been made to even contact Void, given the high probability for his defection to the Machines - or worse, the Merovingian... However, he shows amazing potential, and these are desperate times. Unfortunately, if he becomes aware of that potential, and/or how little he is accepted and trusted by his fellow man, the consequences could be disastrous.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Void would claim an entire lack of weaknesses, which of course is his greatest. However, he also possesses great aptitude for virtually any task within the Matrix, which while it is certainly a strength, only serves to support the previously mentioned weakness.
Background Information: Akira was the only child of his parents, a Japanese businessman married to an American woman, and thus was the sole heir to the Myoji name, a name which was as generic as the people from which it had come. He had, in truth, stopped calling "those people" his parents that same night he had stopped calling himself "Akira". True, he still answered to that name, but he was firmly convinced that anyone who did not know him as "Void" did not truly know him... Ironically, this meant that he felt closest to fellow hackers and underworld-types, most of whom he had never met.
Akira was an extremely intelligent, if introverted, student, who was a little dark of mind, manner, and fashion, but did extremely well in school and looked as if he had a bright (though boring) future ahead of him... Void, on the other hand, was a known criminal hacker, prone to consorting with the wrong sorts of people. He liked motorcycles. This led to subsequent loves of drugs, alcohol, sex, guns, fights, etc. Void had an extremely dark future, if any, ahead of him... His parents remained in the dark. Void wasn't in the dark. Void was the dark. He knew that he was a part of his own captivity, somehow, but he knew as well that something more existed... Maybe it was all the Zen philosophy they had exposed him to... It was one of the only things he had a REAL passion for... That and hacking.
Of course, these traits led him to question the fundamentals of his reality... "What is Enlightenment" gave way to "What is Existence", "What is Reality", "What is Truth", and ultimately "What is the Matrix?" Aware that meditation would not solve his query, he waited for an answer to that question. This answer came in the form of the crew of the Andromeda, who freed him with no unwanted intervention by the Machines. He was tutored by Epsilon in the various skills vital for a Zion Operative, and picked up programming and mechanics on the side. He seemed to excel in all areas, as predicted. Unfortunately, this was not the only prediction that would prove true.
The choice to free Void was a hard one to make, and it was his knowledge of the inherent distrust of his crewmates that ultimately led to his betrayal of them. After hot-wiring the broadcasting equipment so he could jack-in covertly and autonomously from his room aboard the ship, Void engaged in several clandestine meetings with the Merovingian himself, apparently offering the Frenchman a girl named Prophet, in exchange for benefits unknown... However, the traitor's plan did not work out perfectly, and although Prophet was ultimately taken by the Merovingian as a result of their encounter, she was nevertheless unable to gun Void down just as he had opened the door into what was apparently a construct of some sort. His body was reportedly torn to shreds by Sentinels shortly thereafter in the Real, and his remains were lost along with the wreckage of the Andromeda.
However, because the Rhadamanthus was reconstructed partially from parts of the Andromeda and the Perseus, Void's dark legacy lives on, at least in the tampering he was able to work upon the Operator's station. Tangent has since worked the major bugs out, and the threat from any residual programming Void may have engineered is virtually nonexistent.
