RockyB: Hmm, I think I know what you're getting at. Enlighten me.
Nymbril: Pace wouldn't tell me. Gray's to hard to get to.
Nymbril: Maybe you could help me out then? Only if you'll say yes.
RockyB: That depends entirely on what you're asking
Nymbril: Not too smart though...
RockyB: Irregardless of looks or demeanour, I'm always suspicious of random strangers phoning up
Nymbril: Yeah. Sorry if I'm coming off too mysterious. I've got friends that are sort of rubbing off on me with all their trends.
Nymbril: It's just that... We all sort of know this man.

Nymbril: And we failed him, in a way. Not that we failed him directly. But we failed him when we failed ourselves.
Nymbril: Confused yet?
RockyB: Oh, getting there. Various thoughts whirling through my head. Names popping up and disappearing.
Nymbril: A regular HAL 9000 then? Cute.
Nymbril: You Machinists are just so... I dunno.
Nymbril: But that's the main reason you interest me.
RockyB: Straight Laced? I've heard it all before.
Nymbril: You've seen things that others haven't.
RockyB: To some degree, perhaps
Nymbril: What can you tell me about DifferenceEngine? And the corruption within Gray?
RockyB: Ah ... now we get to the crux of the matter. DifferenceEngine ...
RockyB: Well, we know that he was infected. Grey however?
Nymbril: Yeah. Something like that.
RockyB: We've heard rumours. Some strange missions we've been sent on
Nymbril: Both seemed to have problems.
RockyB: What being, man or machine, doesn't?
RockyB: DifferenceEngine's code was corrupted beyond recognition. How, we do do not know
Nymbril: Gotcha. Go on...
RockyB: Forgive me for not saying more. With no idea of your alleigence, I have no idea what how much to disclose
Nymbril: Oh, I understand.
Nymbril: In that case, let me try and explain.
Nymbril: I'm sticking with the innocent Zion-y types. Fresh from the goo.
Nymbril: Though you look like a guy that can see past innocence, eh?
RockyB:
Oh, I don't know. A twinkle in the eye and a guileless look can often
deceive me. Although I would like to think I can perceive more than
most.

RockyB: However I must admit, your motives are a sore test of my skills.
Nymbril:
Me and a couple of... Groupies... Took it upon ourselves to try and
help out this great man. A very intricate thinker. Sexy... In that
antique philosopher kind-of-way.

Nymbril: Now we're at the point where we think we're not much use anymore.
Nymbril: He's sort of on his own, now. We'll give him 10 days.
Nymbril: This man would be gravely missed... But I'm afraid there's nothing more we can do, like I said.
Nymbril: His... Problem... Is a lot like your buddy Gray's, if what I think is correct.
Nymbril: I've been out of the loop, is all.
RockyB: Interesting. Very much so.
RockyB: How long, exactly, have you been aware of this?
Nymbril: Aware of what? Of Gray's little secret?
RockyB: Aware of your mentor's problem
RockyB: It seems to me that it isn't something that could be lightly overlooked
Nymbril: It wasn't noticable at first. Hell, all of us were like gullible rabbits staring into headlights.
RockyB: Waiting for the truck to mow you down, to continue your analogy?
Nymbril: Then, the more we got to know the surface, and the more we got to look underground... We started to see connections.
Nymbril: "It is purpose that created us."
RockyB: Purpose that drives us?
RockyB: We all know the mantra
Nymbril: Yeah... Whatever.
Nymbril: Something like that. Only we were only trying to help.
Nymbril: Soon he won't be able to tell the difference, I fear.
RockyB: And something tells me your attempt backfired, right?
Nymbril: Hah. Did I just say that?
Nymbril: Yeah. I am afraid.
Nymbril: Confinement doesn't make a disease go away.
RockyB: No, confinement merely incubates it.
Nymbril:
I guess I just wanted you to tell me more about this... Smith. Almost
half of the Machinists I know are deadly frightened of his name... Or
worship it like some American Idol.

Nymbril: Which are you, Mr. Robson?
RockyB: Neither, I would hope.
Nymbril: That's interesting.

Nymbril: Well, it's raining again.
RockyB: I would not worship anything that threatened the stability of the simulation, and those humans who connect it.
RockyB: And afraid ... well, maybe a little
RockyB: If we do not fear that which is stronger than us, we are not truly human. It is overcoming that fear which makes us stronger.
Nymbril:
Those who purge the innocent will be condemned. But how can there be
innocence with justice? How can there be fear with innocence.

*Nymbril crosses her arms.*
Nymbril: I was just trying to make things right for my "savior."
RockyB: Those who are innocent need not fear justice, for the judjement shall pass over them without pause.
Nymbril: Mr. Robson. I guess it's time for me to go. Thanks for the drink.
*Nymbril kisses you.*
RockyB: A pleasure that was all mine
*You bow formally at Nymbril.*
Nymbril: Nobody's innocent, dearie.
Nymbril: Just forgive me and the rest when the time comes.
RockyB: No, I guess not. Life, in shades of Grey
Nymbril: Hah.
Nymbril: You Machinists...
RockyB: Goodnight, Mrs. Alansmoore
