When I first solved Cryptos's puzzle I was asked a question by someone who at the time I had alot of respect for. He asked me "Are you true to the ways of Cypher?" I answered him trutfully with a sentence thats haunted me for some time now. "Yes Now and Forever" I never really thought about what it meant to be true to the ways of Cypher. It could mean we should sell our brothers and sisters in cause out for our 30 pieces of silver. In that case certain people have quite literally followed in his very foot steps all to literally. It also could mean that Cyphers idea was much larger than any man woman or leader. See although our people wish to live a lie we should never compromise or allow our superiors to lie to us.
I'm here to tell you that leadership is something thats earned not given its not a title or the ability to officially sanction our dedication to a cause. Leadership is the ability to inspire its the ability to talk the talk and walk the walk and when it comes down to it its the ability to sacrifice for your people not sacrifice your people. Maskque was for all intents and purposes a leader however much he tried to shy away from that title. He didnt need a tag or an official blessing or even our support near the end to lead. He saw what was wrong with our organization and he acted. He inspired us to push forward and to remember that were not here for a magician or a white queen or even a corrupt messenger of theres who moonlights as our enemy when its convenient. Were here for an idea that Cypher died for that Maskque very well might die for and that you and me are going to let die if we continue down this foolish road. I'm not asking you to disobey Cryptos and Veil nor am I asking you to support the Sleepwalkers . I'm asking you to support a friend that needs your help. I'm asking you to do whats right instead of whats politically convenient but ultimately I'm asking you to do what you promised the day you took up our tag. Be true to the ways of Cypher.
Maskque managed to send me a package before his capture containing one last device capable of completing his task. I believe each and every one of you know what needs to be done. The day they took our friend they stepped on our toes. Its simply time to break their feet.
