Syntaxian's PET?

Ok us syntaxians have loads of mini-events;
lvl 49-50 redpill tournaments
quiz nights on the radio
in faction events.

however we dont have any major server-wide events like recursion does.
Linenoise back in the day was known for the "Unofficial RP Server" but since te merge there hasnt really been much.

LET is non-existant,
Lesig isaround but not much has been done...
so isn't it time for us to take matters into our own hands?

Recursion has their PET (Player Event Team)...and we have nothing like that.

so what I am requesting is for us to have a team either it be;
PET (Player Event Team)
or anything else,
isnt it time we got one?

I beleive we did have one here at one point, ran by someone called Darrius I think - however nothing really seemed to come of it - or if it did, then it wasn't publicised much.

I've ran player RP events that have been open to the whole server as have Winterbrood and several others - however it does seem to have died down a lot recently.

Not sure if thats supposed to be a gripe towards me personally, or just a general snide comment - if its the former, i'm not particularly bothered seeing as how anyone who actually paid any attention to my RPing would know I can't be accused of the same things some other RPers were doing - whereas if its the latter... well, i'm not particularly bothered about that either :robotindifferent:

While I can't speak for any other factions, the Winter Brood is taking a Winter Break. (Heh, I made a funny...)

We're in the final stages of planning our next big event, and we should be rolling out sometime this month or next. If all goes well, it should be a huge event with a few elements that have never been seen before. In the mean time, you've got Sykin's Free Verse event, Plectrum's unnamed drama coming up, and the Kasparov Directive is always looking to play. And I'm sure the Last Veritas is cooking something up for a maiden flight event. And that's just off the top of my head.

If you'd like any help I started up the PET for Vector a couple months ago and its going great. I made the website and a friend is hosting it and doing the boards for me.

If you'd like we can set up something to help you guys out getting started up.
Rarebit and HCFrog have commented that they have the website and boards bookmarked and look at it often to see whats going on. This is probably because it helps them figure out as a community whats going on in Vector.

We took a break for Winter just as we got everything going and will be puting on our first BIG player event called Changer of Hearts probably next weekend.

I find that in the RP I've seen recently everyone is just so...scripted/God-like/or even too unique beyond what the matrix can even support in terms of 'reality'. I even think I saw someone who RPed as a 'half-dragon'. That aside, I think that we as a server should maybe try to make our own 'PET' and see if we can get the rp-scene big again. And now to conclude with the forums most infamous ending
