To be counted, each kill must have a /time timestamp in system chat, and show proof that the person was actually killed, whether that be a corpse, or a soandso was killed by... in systemchat. You do not actually have to be the person to kill the target for the kill to be counted. The kill is counted by who posts the qualifying picture first on the thread entitled The Hunt IV, no matter what the timestamp says.
With this hunt, I would come up with a strategy. You might want to decide if you're going to try to take out as many players as possible as soon as possible, or if you're going to try to take out who you think might be the stronger players first. Because of the number of players you might want to consider alliances... even with players of an opposite org.
