Everything seemed to be going well as night fell at The Black Market's party promoting The Black Market Radio, although nothing ever seems to go just right. To keep the radio up and functioning properly, The Black Market needed to keep their most important piece of code close enough by the party to keep the radio functioning as it should. This program was called “AMOSE” v5.24c (Artificial Marketing Online Server Enterprise). A plan was hatched to store the “AMOSE” code inside of Gtactics Residual Self Image, integrating GT’s RSI and the “AMOSE” code into one.
Gtactics was sitting in the VIP room over-looking the party, when he got an unexpected phone call from an unknown number. On the other end of the line was a woman whose voice he had never heard before speaking to him, "AMOSE is ours. We know right where it is, and there’s nothing you can do to stop us from taking it." Gtactics was bothered by what he had heard, and definitely did not want to take any chances at this message. He decided that he should upload his “AMOSE” software to the coded Black Market servers before there was a chance of it being stolen. Letting Mastatec know what had happened, GT moved toward the exit.
On his way out of the club, Gtactics noticed security guards standing at the door, but did not think much of it. Trying to act calmly, GT donned his coat and walked into the night. “The Hardline is close; it’s just down this alley.” Un-noticed to him, the security guards slipped out after him.
Mastatec, being worried that GT hadn’t been back, decided to step out of the club to make a phone call. As he walked outside, he saw a body lying in a heap halfway down the alley. Running towards it as his worst fears were confirmed, Mastatec realized that it was Gtactics body lying cold in the street. After several failed RSI Restore attempts, one finally worked partway and Gtactics was able to stand.
They walk back into the party to find that people are upset because TBM Radio has died! Then Gtactics stands up and makes an announcement:
Gtactics: "People of the Matrix! I... I feel... like something is wrong... like something is missing! I feel-"
Suddenly Gtactics RSI initiates and emergency jackout procedure. Unable to stop what his happening, Mastatec try’s to calm the crowd and take control of the situation. He calls for everyone to return to Magog West.
Mastatec: "Gtactics is gone and he is in trouble! I have my suspicions as to what has happened and, if I am right, we will need everyone's help to restore him back to us! I ask you patience for the next few minutes as our Chief Security Officer Machete gathers information as to the situation."
[A few minutes later:]
Mastatec: "Tonight has been a very upsetting night for us all. An unknown force has taken the Black Market’s “Artificial Marketing Online Server Enterprise” code. This AMOSE code allows The Black Market to do what we do, buying and selling in The Matrix, as well as broadcasting our radio station. It had been stored inside Gtactics RSI to keep it safe, but now we no longer have access to it. He was attacked a few minutes ago and I assume that the code was forcibly taken from him. You have my sincerest apologies, but until we have re-secured it, The Black Market can no longer conduct business of any sort. We will offer a reward of 50 MILLION INFO to the person who can re-secure AMOSE, and bring it to us. Now, since we cannot even play our radio, our operatives will gather information tonight as to possible suspects, and we will have the information for you first thing in the morning! You view what has happened in video form on our website at http://www.theblackmarketmxo.com and on the Data Node One Forums! Thank you for you help! We hope to see you then! Goodnight!"
