The Premise-

Representatives from each organization have agreed to form a truce, and deciding to have a council as a ruling body (much like zions cave society has). The representatives will be gathering November 5th to decide which organization shall be the chair person of the coucil, this person would be a tie breaker vote in future discussions, and serve as the figure head of the coucil to the public. Each organization believes someone from their side is best for this role, and as such needs a way to convince the others of that.

The Roles-

Council Members

People who chose to participate as a council memeber will do so from a purely RP standpoint, pvp will NOT be allowed at the meeting, your role at this meeting is to convince your oppenents your point of view is best.

VIP Guards

Your orgs chair person has already been selected and is waiting to take their position once the council has made their descision on which organization will get this position. As a VIP/VIP guard, your job is to stay safe in a secret location until the talks have concluded and someone is chosen.

Black Ops

Your job is to locate and neutrlize the VIP's guards, and take the VIP hostage. With a VIP successfully taken hostage your rep at the council will be able to use their life as leverage to get the votes required for your org to win the chair person position.

As a start, i'm hoping we can gather at least 20 people from each organization to play out the various roles. It is requested that any participating, be willing to an RP post at the end of the event from your perspective about what went down and how you think this will affect the future of the Matrix. The coucil meeting will not be organized in anyway, but everyone must be in character at all times. So plan your characters/factions/orgs background accordingly so you'll have plenty to bring to the table during the event.

We'll be using keyspots in the city, and be having a bit of a scavenger hunt of sorts, in order for the black ops teams to be able to track down the secret hiding place where the VIP is waiting.

Most of the event can be handled by one person, leaving it to the participants to drive everything, however some parts i will need help organizing, if your interested in helping me out with this, please contact me in game DaemonFlux, and post here, letting me know you are interested.

As we come closer to event time (Nov 5th, probably 5-7 pm) I will post the names of people from each organization you can contact if you would be interested in participating. As more people are contacted in game i will post more details about how the event will work in this thread.

Sounds like a great event DaemonFlux. Very interesting RP aspect thrown
in there with some Vector only style action. Count as many
V.V. as you need in for this event.

I dont think there will be an offical good vote on who will be the chair person i mean look how many zions there are compared to everyone else its hardly fair.

Each org will have equal representation at the council. It'll be ensured that the council stays stalemate in a decision until a chair person has been kidnapped, resulting in that organization being pressured into voting for an organization other then themselves.

I look around and take a look at everyone and wonder to my self what the point of this all is. Thinking back I know how this all started. Neo. His death sparked a revolution in the Matrix. A temporary truce was formed between the Redpills and the programs that ran the Matrix. At first everything was fine, Tyndall and her Zion squad was releasing as many Redpills as the could from the Matrix, and everyone was the better for it. Then something happened. Redpills started realizing life outside the Matrix sucked.

I was one of those Redpills that did not care for life outside the Matrix, and I like so many other Redpills, chose a different allegiance. Those of us that decided not to Follow Tyndall and her fanatics, chose to fight. Fight for life inside the Matrix, but in different ways. Some fought for the pure order the Programs of the Matrix like, and I chose to fight for freedom and power within the Matrix.

Fighting for my cause put an enormous strain on me, and redpills like me. When it came down to it, all any of us wanted was to survive. We had all left our homes and now lived in an Anarchist society, everyone was out for themselves, forming truce's, and bonds, as they saw fit for themselves.

Late one night on my HoverCraft I was discussing current events with my Captain, and she told me she and the other captains wanted to crawl out of the ooze that had become the Matrix, and form a Society without killing, a Society that them and their future children could be proud of. She told me Order must be brought to the Anarchy. She told me Captains from the three current Alliances had formed a Council, a Ruling governing body to bring Order to the Chaos. She then said something that blew my mind.

"I want you to be one of the Representatives from our Organization on the Council."

I was stunned, with more blood on my hands than I like to think about, she wanted me to move into Politics. Maybe my mother was right, all politicians are dirty. None the less, I could not refuse my captain, and i would not let my Organization down.

"I call this meeting to order", I say, "We are here tonight to discuss, and decide on one thing, who is going to lead this council."

I hear murmurs and muffled groans around the table, they all know what I know, we are all in for a long night, and I'm going to need more then just words, and convincing arguments to convince these guys that someone who also serves the Frenchman is best suited to lead this Council. After about 20 minutes of my words falling on deaf ears, I call for a break. I head to the elevator and make a call.

"Operator", I hear over my ear piece.

"Get me Lt. Williams." I speak these words into the mic on the back of my hand.

"Williams here, what can I do for you Daemon?" He knows I hate the military, but has come to call me friend anyhow, because of how much we have been through together him and I.

"I need you to put together a team, then locate and kidnap the Zions, or the Machines Chair Person candidate."

"Consider it done, but can I ask why Daemon?"

"That's easy, once you have their person in custody, I'm going to tell that candidates representatives on this council, that their candidate is no longer in the running, and should vote for a candidate with a bit better protection."

"Very good, I won't let you down." I hear him say, I can tell he's holding the headset and mic in his hands, and is just speaking into the mic, which is unfortunate because I wasn't done talking to him yet.

"Operator" I say into my mic, I hear that word repeated to me through my headset.

"Tell Lt. Williams to send a team to protect our candidate, just in case any of the other members get the same idea as us and try to kidnap them." I switch off my mic, and look around the room and grin.

"Tonight might be an interesting night after all", I say to myself, as i walk back into the meeting.

Things are moving along very nicely, we still need players from all orgs to volunteer to be on the block ops teams and guard teams for the event, as it stands now we will only be forming 6 person teams. All the council member roles have been taken already, but we still need a player from zion to volunteer to be kidnapped.

Rumors are flying all over mega city about how this event is going to turn out,I think i saw some people at mara placing bets as to which org will get their rep voted to chair person. i'm very excited and i know a lot of you are also. If you havne't already spoken up to be in the event, do so before our roster is full up, come reprsent your org, don't let this event pass you by. I will be posting one final RP message to this thread tommorow night as yet another primer to the event

PS. becuase of the response so far for this event, plans are already under way for chapters 2 and 3. Everyone who participates will be shaping how those chapters play out. Until we meet again.

Tangent called up one of the many new items flagged for his attention, his eyes pouring over the text on the monitor. It seemed that someone wanted to call diplomatic ends to the hostilities around the Matrix. This was, in his view, an unprecedented step in acting out the peace so hard-won by Neo's sacrifice. He hadn't had any better news that day... In fact, Tangent couldn't recall having any better news lately. It had all been doom, and pestilence, and having to rush around pulling the auto-jackout protocol on his crewmates before they were smashed into oblivion...

He smiled at the screen, his tired face sillouetted for a moment, looking somewhat... well, less-tired than it usually did. Finally, a situation that would be solved without fighting or hostilities... It seemed almost too good to be true. Tangent hoped that it was not. But then, what did he know?

He was just an Operator.

Time zones are going to be very crucial for me during this, I understand you wouldnt want to change for GMT people as you've already set a date, but bare in mind if I can't make it you have to find somebody else.

Hopefully everyone that's agreed to participate is paying attention to this thread still. We still need more mero's to participate, i'd hate to see Mero's severely under represented during this event. And also Spread the word to the people you know are participating, The event will be starting as close to 5 pm pacific time as possible, this saturday. We will be gathering 30 minutes before event starts at Lemone Central Hardline in Richland to make sure everyone knows what teams they are on, and no one has questions about who's contacting who during the event.
