Only took about 10-15 mins to beat, key is having a lot of health pills, he about killed me with one of his specials, only had about 100 hp left at one point, then did a few specials on him and used a few health pills got right back up, then killed him.

He is LvL 30, im not sure what he was on the old system, because i didnt know about consructs until i was sakura lvl. He is easy in someways, as he tends to roll low, but has a lot of resistance, my strongest attack was only doing like 60-70 damage and also wacth out for his 1 hit 1 kill moves.
lol i took him on and soo got my arse kicked! lol, but i went MA maybe thats the reason, i hit him for like 22 lol, and by the time i knew my IS was down to 0 and bang i was dead
nice. dont know if its actually worth all the health pills you have to use. but its cool to do nontheless. a couple friends and i had fun killing zion guards in the 01 construct. level 100. they are tuff and it takes alot of team work.

I go thru about 25-30 health pills soloing him, not to much of a hassle coding them all tho, after the cash surplus SOE gave us, plus my lvl 50 codes everything for that alt. lol i havent tried to take down a sentry yet, we took down an agent at mara c tho, that was fun, took forver and after we all killed him, 2 more came. **bleep** was crazy
very nice, i gave tengu a shot on my lvl 24 recursion char minus the
buffs and consumables so it didnt end well but it takes awhile to get
killed by him now
oh and i have an alt that could use lvling too :smileytongue: lvl 2

try getting a 50 to prebuff you before you run.
Yeah that helps, the first time i soloed him i was buffed, but u really dont need them to beat him, just a **bleep** load of health pills. i go thru about 30 per match
Tengu in is most soloable with an MA build. Takes very few health pills. Max out your melee damage resistance on your gear and with consistent technique. When he's dazed, prep him with Sky High Sidekick followed up by Dim Mak. Don't use other specials so you don't waste IS. This takes some skill because dazed lasts 8 seconds and each round of combat takes 4 seconds so your timing has to be good.
Use TB and HB for an extra edge. When you need IS use Consistent Technique to max your melee damage resistance (if it's not at max) while you block to regen IS.
Tengu's spec'd as a knife thrower build (low melee defense and accuracy but high ranged and thrown defense) so his weakness is in interlock where he only uses MA skills. He still has some big MA specials he'll land once in a while so be careful about letting your health get too low or he make take you out in one shot.

did the same, only got hit by his knives when I had to lure him out of the hut, Get him to the edge of hut jump on wall, Free fire away, Only time I died was when I didnt pay attention.

Even for those who don't, and just want to kill him the easiest/fastest way, I would think that Hacker would be more effective than free fire/snipes, since there are no gunman abilities that lower resistance.

I could never get it right with hacker, I always seemed to attract him to me, with guns, I could just get far enough away where hed stand still and let me fire away, hed drop dead id get down loot, repeat

Proxy is a sweet way to take him down. Using Endo's method or normal but well endo's way means he doesn't charge for interlock so thats better
Up your thrown res, i'v got mobius and a bunch of pills but very rarely need to use the pills. When low on health jump up on the hut but you need to make sure your sim is always shooting. Tends to bug out when you jump on the wall or hyperjump. I'm lvl 25 and can take him down in 5 - 10 mins, depending on if/when he uses serne calm.. I find a gunner sim to be the best cause it does abs out of interlock aswell. Just remember to heal, sever artery can be a bam for you and your sim. I'v managed to get enrage foes or w/e in my load so Tengu tends to interlock the sim and the hax moves as a sim maker seem quite decent.

I fought tengu with friends numerous times, they were MA, I was guns or heals/hacks. It took a bit to get him, Had to constantly state him etc. It was just a pain
Sitting on the ledge shoting him is the by far easiest way. No need to jump on a hut to heal, etc
Fire at him to aggro, lure to the edge of hut, flip onto ledge, back up, fire away while he stands there picking his nose.
He doesnt fight back, you dont have to heal in any way.

Really? That's odd, I haven't really had any problems using hacker so far. I managed to kill him in less than 2 and a half minutes, and I didn't take a single hit. Although, I have not yet tried this in Sakura, only Yuki, but I would expect him to act pretty much the same way.
The hax from the sim tree seem alright. Only prob is, is when he uses Serene, you hit about 1 outta 5...
Forgot to say, i have Ghost Shirt and the other lowbie healing item. Good for combining when you get Severed. Also got the Vampire Coat or w/e, so its good when trying to sit and quickly regain health. I wouldn't suggest sticking with they items though due to the low resistance. Just switch when needed.

He pops serene calm and iron body at much faster rates it's almost as if he doesnt even have a re-use timer, and he has Aikido Grandmaster/Knife thrower loaded he's much harder to hit as hacker it's much easier as a gunman because you have the advantage against his defence, and the option to keep cycling line up the shot and free firing.
Also apparently there was a way to see any NPC's I.s and Weaknesses and other factors by modding the game files, not quite sure how to do it, but i wouldnt reccomend doing it either.
Yeah i'v saw Tengu pretty much use Serene straight after the effect has wore off. Can be annoying and slows it down a bit. Best just to regain IS etc for that while, maybe hitting him with a couple of hits but don't go spam crazy, will just be a waste.
