heh last night I was talking to my girlfriend over the phone, and in the hour we were talking she saw two shooting stars, but that was the first time she had ever seen one.  The first time she was like "omg!" the second time she was kinda scared like "thats kinda wierd", yea I've never seen one before.

I don't think black holes really just suck everything in.  You have to get right at its outer area (forgot what its actually called) before you get sucked in.  At least I read that before while doing a report on them.
