I know the official report is long overdue, so here it is. Yes, the
gossip is correct this time: the increasing quarrels between the
leading officers of the Oriens Veritas have led to a split and
eventually the disbanding of the faction. Captain Jobi is utterly
posessed by the idea of taking revenge of that Espi character with whom
we all had bitter experiences already and who is believed to be behind
Olisi's - Cpt. Jobi's brother - death.
Communication within the faction came to a complete halt as did the
authority of the former Oriens Veritas' council, made of all three rank
#1 ship's captains and their firstmates. I am sure you are aware of the
commands issued to the Moirai and about the reaction of its currently
acting captain, Venmm. Nonetheless, I decided to continue the
cooperation with him and his ship even if that would mean being accused
of compliancy in that matter.
With the strong support of my fellow crewmen Ozzin and Zampano, we
decided to form the Coma Solaris, a faction which aims to continue the
goals of the old Oriens, to unscorch the sky and enable mankind to live
a life as humans again - on the surface. Since my awakening, I can't
remember a time being more dangerous than now and it is a hard task to
stand alone. We are currently seeking close alliences in our mostly
scientific mission and I beg you to continue your support. You have
always been our premier advocate down in Zion and I hope that your
trust in our cause has not ceased. The old Oriens Veritas is no more,
but it shall live on within our hearts - and nothing will change that.
